Chapter 7

I went to the Cafeteria and sat on a table that was half empty, other seniors sat on the other end staring at me. The new girl.

I pretended that I didn't notice them staring and took a bite from my apple.

"Hey."
I turned around to see Silvio standing behind me.

I swallowed my bite rapidly I almost chocked.

"Hi."

"I didn't get the chance to properly introduce myself. I'm Silvio, I'm 18, a solid C student, and a sucker for British accents."

"Hi, I'm Melody, I'm 18, a solid A student, and not interested."
I smiled and looked away.

He took a seat next to me, and now all eyes were on us. Will the new girl fall for the dick's trick?

"C'mon give me a chance, why don't you like me?"
He asked, but I didn't respond and took another bite from my apple.

"Melody. Give me one good reason why don't you want to go to this party with me, did I do something wrong?"

I swallowed my apple and turned to face him.

"I don't want to, there's your reason."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't want to. That's the only reason I need."

"I won't stop asking you until you give me a good reason. I'm really interested to get to know you Melody, give me a chance, please!"

"Leave me alone! What the hell?! I don't even know you!"
My tone was a little high now, we grabbed the attention of a couple more people.

"She's going with me, that's why she can't go with you."
I turned around to see Ellie standing behind me with his food tray talking back to Silvio.

"Hey gorgeous."
He winked at me and smirked.

I blushed and tried to hide my smile, but it somehow found its way to my face.

"What? Are you serious now Ellie?"
Asked Silvio, obviously shocked.

"Yeah. Sorry man but she's with me."

"Are you shitting me now Ellie? Why?"

"Because she can't go with you, and you know why."

Silvio got up and walked away behind Ellie, but before he was totally gone, he turned around.

"Hey Ellie, I really liked this one."
Said Silvio as he continued walking away.

The next thing I know was Ellie grabbing a chair and sitting next to me.

"Tough crowd."
He joked.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For saving me."

"Nah don't worry about it."

I smiled at him, looks like I'm catching feelings for him, so is he.

"Ellie!"
Yelled a girl as she approached us.

"Hey handsome."
She flirted with him as she kissed cheek.
