Eight;

After tucking both her children into bed, Hye Geong reluctantly left their room.

Hoshi was standing near a shrine, staring at the picture with an empty look in his eyes.

Hye Geong fidgeted, as she awkwardly stood near the door, as far away from him as possible.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

Hoshi's voice was laced with ice.

"I couldn't."

Hoshi turned around, a smile filled with pain stuck on his lips.

He pointed at the picture on the shrine, "This guy is your husband?"

It seemed like Hye Geong loved crying these days, because tears immediately threatened to fall.

Wordlessly, she nodded.

Hoshi's eyes softened when he noticed that she was about to cry.

"What happened to him?"

Hye Geong went to sit down at the table, as she breathed in and out to calm herself.

"I don't want to say...I just..." Hye Geong muttered.

She massaged her temples, as she held in her tears.

"I just can't...I don't.."

Hye Geong's breathing was uneven now.

All of a sudden, Hoshi hugged her from behind.

He held her hand, and rubbed calming circles on her palm.

"It's okay." He whispered.

"It's okay...you don't have to tell me." Hoshi mumbled, as he laid his chin on the top of her head.

"But you know, maybe you should move on. Your husband would want to see you happy."

"Move on? To who? You?" Hye Geong spat, suddenly feeling her temper rise at the topic of her past husband.

She shoved Hoshi away, as she snapped, "I was the cause. Because of me, he died."

Hoshi's mouth opened and closed, like a fish.

"What do you mean, Hye Geong? Please, trust me."

Hoshi moved to hold her again, but she took a step back.

A soulless laugh escaped her lips.

"I was the killer."
