Chapter 1

It was only meant to be a normal supply run, but no!! As always, the Empire had to stick their noses in and interrupt the whole thing!! Now, the Ghost crew where racing threw a tall grassed field, away from the Inquisitor and many stormtroopers. "Well this is a grand plan Kanan!!" Hera yelled as they ran, sarcasm dripping from her mouth "we're running away from the Ghost!!" the Jedi rolled his eyes "I don't know if you noticed Captain, but they had the ship surrounded so Chopper flew away!!". Ezra held back the urge to tell the two adults to shut up arguing and scanned the area before his eyes landed on a possible escape "over there!!" he exclaimed, pointing towards where he was looking; his crew looked in the direction "we can hide in the cave!!". It was a good plan...well it was actually their only plan. They hurried into the cave as the stormtroopers continued to blast at them, hitting the cave which coursed it to begin to collapse "take cover!!" Zeb exclaimed. Kanan gripped onto his Padawan and held him to his chest to shield him from the falling rocks - the boy gladly clung to the man, using his hands and arms to cover the mans head in an attempt to also protect him in return; the Lasat did the same with the two women, holding onto them both tightly. After a few minutes, the shaking stopped and no more rocks came crashing down; they all stood up and parted from being so close together. "Everyone okay??" Kanan asked earning nods from his crew members; they began to look around "great, we're trapped" Sabine groaned "what now??" Hera patted the teen girl on the back and sent her a smile of reassurance "I guess we just keep walking and see if there's another way out". 

After an hour of walking, the crew came to a stop so they could rest - especially Kanan and Ezra who were using the force to try to find a way out quicker. The said teen felt a sudden strange pull in the force - he began to head in the direction of where the force wanted him to go "don't go too far Ez, we don't know what's in here and you don't want to get lost on your own" Hera called, being her motherly self; the boy agreed before continuing to walk away. There was nothing to be seen which confused Ezra...until a small white light suddenly appeared "what the...." it startled the boy, especially as it began to grow larger and brighter. "Em...guys!!" Ezra called for his friends as a sudden gush of wind pushed and pulled at the boy "guys!!" he yelled again. Sabine thankfully replied with a raised brow "what is it kid??" she asked, hoping the younger teen had discovered a way out "need help!!". After a second of sharing a confused and worried look - it alarmed them to hear the boy shout for their help; they crew rushed in the direction that they had seen Ezra walk away. Everyone came to a halt at the sight of the much brighter and larger white light "what in the force is that thing?!" Hera exclaimed with shock and concern, followed by Kanan "Ezra!! What did you do?!" the kid would have sent the man a glare is he wasn't trying to fight against the strength of the wind "I didn't do anything!!" he replied "and I don't know what it is!!". All of a sudden, just as Ezra managed to grab his Master's out-stretched hand, the wind turned violent and swept the boy off of his feet!! "Ezra!!" the crew exclaimed as the man tried his best to keep a grip on the kid "I can't hold on much longer!!" the boy exclaimed with pure panic. The kids hand began to slip out of Kanan's until....Ezra was blown away and towards the bright white light "no!! Ezra no!!" the last they could see of the teen was of his wide eyed expression "Kanan!!". All any of them could hear was their own screams "Ezra!!" Hera stepped forth "we need to go after him!!" she yelled over the wind; none of them needed to be told twice. They followed the teen, running towards and into the bright light.

The first thing he knew was that he was lay down somewhere hard. Kanan began to stir from his conscious state and sat up, rubbing his head. The man scanned his surroundings to see his crew all lay down on the ground near by; he hurried to his Padawan who was only a few feet away from him. He attempted to wake the teen up "Ezra....come on bud, wake up" the man tapped the boy on his cheek and sent a message through the force - it seemed to work as the kid's eyes fluttered open. "W...what happened??" Ezra asked as he sat up "where...where are we??" he was confused by his surroundings; Kanan helped the boy stand up "I don't know kid, but we need to get the others up". One both were up on their feet, the two began to wake their friends up; it didn't take long before they were all stood up, taking in their surroundings - as well as discussing what to do. "We need to found out where in the name of the force we are" Hera stating, followed by her partner speaking up as a plan had already formed in his head "we'll split up, Hera, Zeb and Sabine will search the West and South whilst Ez and I search the North and East" he explained "we'll contact one another if we find anything". It was their only plan, although none of them liked the 'split up' part; they were thankful however for wearing their cloaks. With the two force users, they had been walking and talking for nearly four hours "I'm so tired" Ezra moaned as he he forced himself to continue; Kanan patted the boy on the shoulder "I know kid, I am too". After even more walking, they come across a large looking town; Kanan's eyes widened with complete shock as he realized where they were. "No...it's impossible" the Jedi mumbled in disbelief; Ezra sent his Master a confused and slightly worried glace "what is it Kanan??". The said man instantly grabbed onto the kids wrist and began to pull him somewhere "into the alley!! Now!!" he exclaimed before they both broke out into a sprint; they reached a near by alley way and made sure they were both out of sight. 

"What's going on Kanan?!" the kid wanted and needed an answer at this point as he was beginning to freak out from the way his Master was suddenly acting "Ezra, listen to me" Kanan ordered "I want you to raise your mental shield up as high as you can get it, do not drop it or your guard". The teenager did as told, although none of this was helping the 'freaked out' part of things "okay, but what-" Kanan cut the boy off "I need you to stay here whilst I go check something out" he explained "I don't know it it'll be safe for you". Kanan wasn't helping to calm the boy down from the freaking out part at all. Ezra tried to protest as he didn't want to separate from his Master but the Jedi beat him to it "please Ezra" he begged "just this once, please trust me on this and do as I say". The Padawan was full of conflict but sighed as he nodded "alright, fine...just be careful" he stated "and let me know you're okay regularly" Kanan smiled as he ruffled the kids hair "you got it" he promised "now stay hidden, stay safe". After pulling the boys hood on his cloak up to cover his face, Kanan turned around and left the alley way, doing the same to his own cloak. The man walked around the city carefully until he reached....the Temple; he was right even though it...it was impossible. He and his crew were somehow on the planet Coruscant and he was stood right outside of the old Jedi Temple he trained and lived in for most of his young life....but how was this even possible?! He hadn't seen any of this since....since Order 66. All of a sudden, Kanan saw someone approach him, someone that he thought he would never see again. "Took your time, you did" Kanan's eyes widened in complete and utter shock "M...Master Yoda??" once again, how in the name of the force was any of this possible?! "Waiting for you, the Jedi Council are" the Jedi Council?! They're here too?! "Follow me, you will" and with that, the old Jedi began to walk further into the temple; Kanan followed "yes....Master".
