Different But The Same

Chapter 9

All Ezra knew was that one minute he was fast asleep and the next he was suddenly awoken by someone jumping on his bed....more then one people actually. He opened his tired eyes to see the little terrors bouncing up and down next to him before landing on their knees to sit "Well...that wasn't the wake up call I expected" Ezra chuckled as he sat up and stretched his back and arms "morning Ezzy" they both said in sync - they really were twins "do you like our nickname for you??" Luke asked with hope in his voice and smile; the teenager couldn't help but return the kind gesture as he nodded "I love it, shall we go and get some breakfast??" all he received was two eager nods. As Ezra stood up, he noticed the clock on the wall "....why did you guys wake me up at eight am??" he groaned as they approached the door "we couldn't get back to sleep and wanted to talk to you". The three entered the living area, heading towards the kitchen as Leia added "mummy and daddy aren't awake yet, they get up at nine O clock" this made the Padawan think as they stopped in the kitchen "hmm...okay, well how about we make your mum and dad some breakfast and surprise??" he suggested, making the children's faces lit up with excitement as they agreed to the idea. 

With that, Ezra began to cook a full breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, hash browns and toast; the twins set the table - with some help - before deciding to draw their parents a picture. They all decided to stay in their pajamas a little longer - the siblings wore matching sets, except Leia's were a dark purple whilst her brothers were a light blue. Ezra wore his navy blue shorts and an orange vest top as his pajamas. It only took forty minutes for the food to be cooked and plated up - the toddlers showed the older boy their pictures "whoa, they're amazing!! Go place them on the table and then you guys can wake up your parents" now that certainly made the two excited as they rushed to do as told - they were called the little terrors for a reason. The three silently made their way over to the couples room before opening the door; Ezra lent against the door frame as he watched the twins tip toe over to the bed, climb up and carefully placed themselves next to their parents before beginning to jump up and down, yelling "get up!! Get up!! It's morning time!!" the teenager held back his laughs as the two adults groaned but sat up "we're up!! We're up!!". Luke and Leia jumped once more before landing on their knees next to their parents; Anakin noticed the smirking Padawan leaning against the door frame and raised a brow. 

The teen saw this "don't look at me, I already got all of this at eight O clock" the man just formed his own smirk before raising his hand - he was using the force to lift the boy up into the air. "Oh no you don't" Ezra stated as the mans wife and kids laughed "Anakin!! Put me down!!" the Master made the teen float until he was hovering a few feet in the air "if you insist" and with that, Ezra was dropped onto the mattress at the foot of the bed where there was space - it was a king sized bed after all. They were all laughing at this point. Ezra sat up as Leia crawled over and into his lap "can we go have breakfast now??" Luke asked, looking up at his mother who nodded with a smile "of course, let's go find something to make" and with that, they all hopped up and off of the bed before making their way through the hallway and into the living area. This was when they noticed the set table, full of food and drinks "whoa, did you three make us all breakfast??" Anakin asked as they all sat down around the table "yeah!!" Luke exclaimed "well....Ezzy cooked but we helped set the table!!" Leia exclaimed, followed by her brother pointing to the pieced of paper on the table itself "and we drew you some pictures!!". The parents smiled as they sat down and dug into the food - it was delicious of course. After fifteen minutes, the couple and Ezra began to clear the table as Padme spoke "why don't you three go get washed and ready whilst Ani and I clean up??" although it sounded like a suggestion....it wasn't; the twins and teen turned and returned to their bedrooms as they had a bathroom attached. 

Ezra took a quite shower before drying himself and changing into a pair of orange shorts and a light blue vest top - he brushed his teeth and then used Luke's hair brush - the child had knocked on his door and held it out to the Padawan, saying that he could use it whilst he was with them - to untangle his now damp hair before tying it up into a small ponytail. Once he was finished and ready for the day, Ezra stepped out of his room only for the twins to hurry towards him, both looking terrified "hey you two" Ezra greeted happily before frowning once he'd seen the expressions on their faces "what's the matter?? It looks like you've seen a ghost??" both children were silent as they shared a fearful glance at one another; now the teenager was really beginning to worry "Luke?? Leia??". Now the kids looked petrified!? "There....there's someone in our room" Luke whispered, trying to stay as quiet as possible as if he was afraid that someone else would hear him; Ezra felt his heart stop momentarily before his instincts kicked in - he rushed to grab his lightsaber which was in his bag on top of the wardrobe and returned to the two. "I need you both to be super brave for me" he stated as he bent down to the children's level "I want you to run to your parents and tell them what you just told me, can you do that for me??" the twins furiously nodded before doing as told as silent as possible. Ezra stood back up before hurrying down the hallway to where the kids room was - the door was open a little so the teen took a peek...it was too dark. So instead, the Padawan focused and sensed where bouts the intruder was in the room. He was near the window, next to Luke's bed.

Back in the kitchen, the couple saw their two children come running out of the hallway and towards them; they couldn't help but chuckle. "Whoa, where's the fire??" Anakin joked before both parents finally saw the fearful and scared expressions of Luke and Leia's faces "what's the matter sweeties??" Padme asked with concern stained in her voice. Neither were expecting to be told that there was a stranger in their bedroom "we told Ezra and he told us to tell you whilst he went to look" Luke added. Both adults eyes were wide with horror and worry; Anakin threw his wide her a blaster that he kept near the door - out of reach from two certain terrors. "Padme, stay with the kids" the woman certainly didn't need to be told twice as she put her children close to her; Anakin used the force to summon his lightsaber before speeding through his home to reach and help Ezra.
