Different But The Same

Chapter 5

After yet another good nights sleep, everyone was dressed, fed and ready for the day. Kanan and Ezra were greeted by the Jedi Council - they wanted Ezra to take part in some tests so that they knew what exactly he needed to learn. That brings us to now - all of the Masters, Kanan and Ezra were stood in one of the empty training rooms. Firstly, Ezra was to go head to head against Anakin in a lightsaber duel - it lasted for half an hour but in the end, the Master won of course; they were all amazed and impressed however by how the teen was able to keep up with Anakin, even nearly beating him a few times. Kanan could feel the constant amount of pride grow as he watched his Padawan. Next up was a meditating test. The young teenager had to sit in the crossed legged position and levitate different types of objects that would be called out by the Masters whilst meditating. He lifted up a ball, a brink, a hundred grams weight, a two hundred grams weight and so on; he was forced to stop when he couldn't lift the thousand grams weight - they were still very impressed. 

Moving onto the last test which was hand to hand combat. To say everyone in the room was completely gobsmacked when Ezra beat Anakin - a trained Jedi Master - within ten minutes!! When it came to that type of fighting, Ezra was a pro - it was the only type of self defense he had when he lived on the streets of Lothal and he was fighting many people most days. So he was well trained in that department. Finally, all of the tests were complete; the Jedi Masters returned to the council room whilst Kanan and Ezra made their way towards the mess hall - it was lunch time after all. "I'm proud of you kid" the man complimented "you did really good during those tests" the teen couldn't help but smile - he always tried to do Kanan proud and receiving praised was something he loved to hear "thanks Kanan, I do have the best Master teaching me after all". The two ate their picked out lunch before parting ways - Ezra found himself in a library whilst Kanan decided to spend some time with his girlfriend. Sabine and Zeb were doing their own things in their rooms. 

A few hours passed and Ezra was soon fast asleep after returning to his room with a book - it wasn't a very good deep sleep as the boy was thrashing around, covered in sweat as he experienced a horrifying nightmare. But...was it a nightmare?? It seemed more like a...like a vision!! Clone troopers were out on patrol before being attacked by.....by Darth Vader!! He killed them all before beginning to make his way towards the temple!! "You will be mine, my apprentice" was all Ezra heard before he shot up screaming out "no!!" his heart was racing. Once the young boy was able to calm his nerves, heart and mind, Ezra jumped up from his bed and sped through the temple - he needed to get to Kanan who he could sense was in the Jedi Council room. 

The poor boy just ran until he reached the room, pushed the door open and sprinted in; all eyes were on him. "Ezra?!" they were all confused and slightly worried but the kid didn't care. Ezra ran and crashed into his Master's chest and clung to him; Kanan returned the embrace as his concern grew. "He's here Kanan!!" the Padawan exclaimed, confusing everyone in the room even further "wha...who's here Ez??" the man asked but soon regretted it "Vader!!" all eyes widened "he's here!! He followed us!! He attacked and killed a bunch of clone troopers and now he's coming to the temple to make me his apprentice!!".
