Hello everyone and welcome to my new phanfiction! I really like this one and I hope you do too<3 Thank you to everyone who reads this!

Dan could lay on his back and look up at the stars for hours without even the hint of boredom. Sometimes school seemed so hectic and crazy and he just needed some relaxation time on his own. That was when the hill at the park came into the picture. The park was just minutes away from Dan's home and it held many hills. The highest was where he liked to lay. There wasn't a single tree in the way of his vision and no one ever disturbed him. As soon as his back hit the cushion of grass, he was transfixed in the beauty of the night sky.

The stars shone brightly alongside the moon, lighting up the small park slightly. It was amazing.

No one ever saw Dan when he laid there, for he laid there during the late hours of the night and early hours of the morning when normal people would be asleep. That meant that Dan had pure privacy and could envelope himself into his thoughts for hours upon hours. It was peaceful.

That was the thing though, Phil Lester wasn't exactly what people referred to as normal. He was obsessed with flower crowns and the colour pink which people considered strange for some unknown reason. He never did realise why people thought he was so strange. He had recently moved to Dan's town and decided to take a late night stroll around to take the new area in.

No one was around, so it meant he'd have some peace and quiet to examine the street light lit streets which, in his opinion, looked pretty. He wandered down his street to be met with a huge hill. When he squinted, he could just about make out that there were little daisies growing at the base and Phil couldn't help but squeal and run over at that sight. He bent down and picked one of the flowers before placing it behind his ear and grinning widely. He expected there to be more daisies spread about the hill and maybe even different types of flowers and that was an intriguing thought. Phil just needed to know if there were any other pretty flowers and plants for him to squeal over.

He practically skipped up the hill, his vision dulling as he got further and further away from the street. It was pretty much pitch black by the time he was half way up the hill; the only thing lighting his way were the beautiful stars.

When he reached the top, he frowned as he realised that someone was there and he wasn't entirely alone like he expected to be. The other person appeared to have their eyes closed and, as Phil got closer, he began to suspect that the other was probably asleep. The boy was wearing black so it was no surprise that he was practically invisible in the dark night and his hair was also a fairly dark colour. Phil couldn't quite tell whether it was black or brown.

Phil slowly tip-toed around the boy before hearing someone's gentle voice. "Why aren't you at home? It's really late you know?" Phil's eyes immediately widened, scared that the boy might hurt him or something.

"I could ask you the same thing." Phil whispered, turning back around to find the boy was now sitting up, looking directly at him.

"I asked you first."

"Well.. I just moved here and I wanted to look around."

"In the dark?" Phil hastily nodded, looking down at his shoes in fretfulness. "Well I'm just here because I like the stars. Don't you think they look pretty?"

"They really do. They're beautiful."

"What's your name?" The stranger mumbled before laying back down to gaze up at the stars.

"Phil." Phil pushed a piece of his dark fringe away from his eye and tucked it behind his ear, where the daisy was still sitting. "Yours?"

"Dan.. When do you have to go home?"

"I don't know."

"Lay with me." Phil didn't even hesitate before dropping down beside Dan and diverting his gaze to the shapes glistening in the sky.

"I should probably get going. It's almost four and my parents will be up in a couple of hours." Dan muttered, lifting himself up and brushing the dirt off of his trousers. "Goodbye."

"Bye, Dan." Phil mumbled, yawning to himself before standing up. He rubbed his tired eyes before skipping down the hill whilst thinking about Dan. He wandered down his street to his house before quietly unlocking the door. He tip-toed into the house, hoping no one was awake but, of course, the world was against him because Martyn was standing in the kitchen.

"Where have you been?" He asked, reaching up to take a glass out of the cupboard and filling it with water.

"I just went for a late night walk."

"More like early morning. It's dangerous to go outside in the dark, you know that."

"I couldn't sleep." Martyn sighed, placing his water down onto the kitchen side before stepping towards his younger brother.

"Is this a daisy?" Martyn picked the daisy out of Phil's hair and played with it in his hand for a moment.

"Yeah.. I thought it looked pretty."

"You know, you really do not act like you're turning eighteen next year. You still act like you're five." Martyn didn't say it in a mean way at all, if anything, his voice was soft and held so much kindness. He brought his hand up and ruffled his brother's hair, smiling to himself as he did so.

"I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing." Phil laughed.

"Depends on how you look at it. Now come on, you need to go to bed: you look like you're about to pass out."

Once again, thank you to everyone reading this ^-^
