The first two films had the Harry Potter logo in gold, but the director of Prisoner of Azkaban changed the logo to silver to reflect the film's darker atmosphere. This was used in all of the films after the third as well.

Alan Rickman was not the producer's first choice for Snape, but he was specifically picked by J. K. Rowling.

Because the Philosopher's Stone is called the Sorcerer's Stone in America, while filming the movie, each time a character said "Philosopher's Stone", they did the take again and said "Sorcerer's Stone". That way the movies released in America would have the characters saying "Sorcerer's Stone" throughout the movie instead of "Philosopher's Stone".

The scene in Goblet of Fire where Harry wakes up after having a dream about Voldemort killing the muggle Frank Bryce was the last scene in that movie to be filmed.
