The beds used in the Gryffindor dorm room set were never upgraded from film to film. By the time the final movies were filmed, Daniel Radcliffe and the other actors had to curl up a lot to keep from hanging over the edge of the bed during shoots.

The floating candles in the Great Hall were originally suspended by wires, but during filming, the flames on the candles burned through the wires and caused the candles to drop onto the tables.

Scabior's violent twist in the air when Bellatrix whips him in the Deathly Hallows Part 1 film was not in the script. Actor Nick Moran improvised that so he wouldn't be upstaged by Helena Bonham Carter, who played Bellatrix. The film-makers really liked it, so they kept it. Nick Moran was happy about this until he realized that in order for it to be kept, he'd have to perform the stunt several times.

Alfonso Cuarón, the director of Prisoner of Azkaban, gave the actors who played Hogwarts students permission to wear their uniforms any way they wanted in order to bring a greater sense of realism. This is why some students in the movie wear their uninform very neatly while others have their shirts or ties hanging out.

Emma Watson admitted to having a huge crush on Tom Felton during the filming of Chamber of Secrets. "He must have known." She commented. "Poor Emma," confirms Tom Felton, "of course I knew. It was obvious."
