Telky (Charles Xavier Love Story)

Chapter 6

The only recruiting mission Seraphina went on was Alex Summers', and at first she was confused. Now though, she didn't really mind as she was able to bond with the others.

"We should think of codenames. We're government agents now, we should have secret code names," Raven pipes up from one couch in the living space we were allotted. "I want to be called Mystique."

"I wanted to be called Mystique!" Sean shouts out. Everyone laughs.

"Well tough, I called it." Raven stands up and shifts into another Sean to many gasps and then applause. "I'm way more mysterious than you."

"Whoa!" Darwin and Alex say simultaneously.

"Darwin, what about you?" Raven asks.

"Well, uh, Darwin's already a nickname, and, it sort of fits. Adapt to survive and all that. Watch." Darwin walked over to the little aquarium in the room and put his head in it. We all watched as he grew gills. Everyone told him how cool that was and Seraphina clapped.

"Thank you, thank you." he said with a wet head and a mocking bow.

"What about you?" Darwin asks Sean.

"I'm going to be. . .Banshee."

"Why do you want to be named after a wailing spirit?" Hank asked.

"You might want to cover your ears." The group did so and Seraphina watched as Sean whistled a high tune that caused the glass to break. She frowned a little. Moira would not be pleased with this.

After Sean Angel demonstrated her gifts, which were wings and an ability to spit fireballs. Now the statues outside were destroyed. Alex took it to another level and completely blasted them with some sort of blast. Within ten minutes the whole group of teenagers was somewhat drunk and listening to loud music.

Seraphina scoffed a little, and stood up. Hank, the seemingly only other responsible one was in his lab again. In the distance she could hear cars pulling up, and knew that Charles and Erik were back.

"Alright everyone, time to take it down a notch." She said after standing. Angel looked over and smirked.

"Are we having too much fun grandma?" A couple others laughed but Darwin sent a glance her way laced with an apology.

"Yes."

With that simple answer Seraphina held both arms up and spread her fingers apart and willed all of them to beck up from the wreckage. As she had hoped, Darwin, Sean, Raven, Angel, and ALex floated towards her, staring at her with astonished faces. Releasing them, she next focused on the broken glass, and willed every shard and sliver of it to return to its place in the window.

Charles, Erik, and Moira walked into utter chaos, but stood still as Seraphina stood up and began to fix it all. They watched as little pieces of glass flew back to the window, and the ruined statues outside return to their pedestals looking new and polished. Charles couldn't help but think that she could do this within three days of starting to use her ability again. To his side, Erik felt a tinge of pride.

When Seraphina was finished the teens clapped but she didn't acknowledge it and turned to leave to her room. She noticed almost immediately that Charles and Erik were standing in the doorway with a happy and a slightly prideful look on their faces. She smiled at Charles and punched Erik on the shoulder as she was about to leave the room, but Raven spoke up again.

"We've been thinking of code names! We thought you should be Professor X," she said pointing at Charles, "and you should be Magneto." Raven seemed to have a lightbulb go off in her head, as she continued. "Oh! Seraphina, you should be called Telky. Since you have telekinesis!" Raven beamed.

Seraphina gave her a kind smile. "Those are wonderful names Raven. But I'm not quite sure  how demonstrating our powers by getting drunk and blowing stuff up is the way to go." She said.

Raven's expression fell a little, but she nodded nonetheless.

Walking down the hallway that she now knew, Charles' voice stopped her.

"Thank you for at least trying to clean up after them." Seraphina turned and have him a smile, noticing Erik in the background. "As you could see, I have no problem doing so."

"We are leaving to Russia, to get Shaw there. Will you come?" He asked. Secretly, he didn't want her to come. He wanted Seraphina to stay safe at the base where shaw couldn't get to her. His thoughts were partly achieved.

"Nein, I will stay here. No doubt they will get into more trouble." She said after a moment. Erik silently sighed in relief. He wasn't used to this feeling of needing to protect her. Before, they were alway together and he needn't look far to find her. Charles thought similarly.

"Sie nicht selbst in Schwierigkeiten geraten." said Erik.

Seraphina gave him a look. "Wann habe ich das jemals getan?" Erik smirked. "Muss ich Sie an die Zeit erinnern-"

"Alright! I get what you mean, but you are wrong." Seraphina exclaimed throwing her hands up. Charles looked between the two, very confused as he couldn't understand German. What he could see though, was that Erik cared for Seraphina in a older brotherly way. Something about that thought gave him a feeling of relief, and he wasn't all to sure why.

"Goodbye. I wish you all luck!" Seraphina said turning her back on them to go to her assigned room.

She emerged once she was sure that the others were at least mostly sober. Walking in, she could see she was right and got a glass of water to sit down with. Raven looked up as the cushion next to her dipped down.

"Hello Telky. " Raven said with a smile. Seraphina returned it as the others turned their heads in her direction.

"That was amazing, what you did." Darwin said. Seraphina thanked him.

"We were just talking about when we discovered our powers. When did you find yours?" Raven said. What she meant to be an icebreaker for the group made Seraphina's expression darkened so quickly Raven almost scooted away. Darwin and the others saw it.

"Ah, I was young, about 8 years old." she said at last. She looked down at the numbers tattooed forever on her forearm. Seraphina wasn't about to say anything more. Angel looked like she was about to ask for specifics, but right then a loud noise disturbed them. Seraphina was suddenly on high alert as she noticed it was a body. Erik and Charles were long gone.

They were on their own for this threat.
