Hey! Readers! I'll put slightly more important Author's Notes here, so that I don't have to make a separate story part.

Please read. I need an opinion.

Annnyways...how many of you all have read my other fanfic in the Marvel Universe, Shield Charm? Do you all like it? Hmm?

WHO out of all you would like to see a Harry Potter/X-Men Crossover? I originally wanted to do a Fred story?

If any of you love to read new Spider Man stories, I also suggest checking out btllama. She has a great new fanfic which clashes with Shield, and doesn't follow the movies, but our favorite spider is wonderfully sarcastic here! :)

Seraphina refocused on the present. Now was not to time to figure out the strange power surge--and expulsion of said power from her body.

However, she found herself unable to break the fight between two males she cared for for, and unwilling to choose sides.

Charles had tackled Erik, only for Erik to punch him in the jaw and launch back on the sand. Moira, being slightly hot headed, and not thinking her method through, pulled out her gun. Her metal gun, and aimed at Erik. Seraphina screamed, both to stop, and fear of the stray bullets.

You see, he merely deflected the bullets but Moira kept shooting. Her head felt ready to split apart, partly from the pain of everyone and partly from the all around stupidity.

Time slowed down then.

A bullet careened towards Seraphina, and she deflected it into a tree. She glimpsed the worry in Erik's face at accidentally turning the metal object towards her, and his worry caused him to fling bullets every which way. One of them sailed right into the back of poor Charles.

Poor Charles who had just stood up from being punched.

Poor Charles who would never walk again.

Charles screamed a heart wrenching sound. Seraphina let out a blood curdling cry of pain, because her mind was still in part connected to his. Erik shouted out in grief, Moira choked back a sob. The others stood horrified and transfixed.

Seraphina ran forward to Charles, whom Erik had pulled into his lap and withdrawn the fateful bullet. The others tried as well, but Erik held them back by the metal on their suits.

"I said back off!" He shouted. She could hear the anger in his voice.

"You!" Erik stared at Moira, unfortunate Moira who kept firing her gun. "You did this!" he told her, before her suddenly took hold of the metal chain around her neck and tightened it, choking her.

"Erik, stop!" Seraphina pleaded. She felt tired, and most likely could not gain control of the chain before Moira suffocated.

"Please!" Both Erik and herself looked at Charles, who had spoken. "She didn't do this Erik, you did."

"Us turning on each other. It's what they want. I tried to warn you, Charles. I want you by my side. We're brothers, you and I. All of us, together. Protecting each other. We want the same thing." Erik told Charles. It sounded like he was trying to convince both of them, while Seraphina felt like a watching crowd.

"My friend, I'm sorry. But we do not." Charles whispered. In what seemed like a last attempt, Erik looked up at the woman he had known since he was twelve.

"Will you? Will you join me?" Erik asked quietly. She pulled him into a hug over Charles form.

"I'll always consider you my brother, Erik. Nothing and no one can change this." She spoke into his ear as he held onto her tightly. "but someone must take after Charles. I cannot join you on a team like Shaw. Please, if you ever do something, make sure you will not be Shaw."

She pulled away from Erik. A tear had slipped from his eye, and it made her smile a broken smile. It was so uncharacteristic.

"I forgive you, and I hope you will forgive me." he told her before moving Charles into her lap and standing to address to rest of the mutants.

"The society won't accept us. We form our own. The humans have played their hand. Now we get ready to play ours. Who's with me?" Erik offered his hand. "No more hiding."

Raven started to walk forward, but she then leant down to Charles and her.

"You...you should go with him. It's what you want." Charles breathed. Seraphina sniffled. She could feel their pain at leaving.

"You promised you would never read my mind." Raven said.

"I know. I promised you a great many things, I'm afraid. I'm sorry." Charles leaned up as far as he could and kissed Raven's forehead. She stood, and joined Erik with Riptide, Azazel, and Angel. Alex, Sean, Hank, and Darwin stayed behind.

"Take care of him." Raven told her. She nodded.

"And Beast," Raven called out to Hank. "Never forget! Mutant and proud!"

Their group teleported away.

Hank rushed forward.

"Charles, don't move, ok?" he said. Charles nodded.

"I won't. Actually, I can...I can't feel my legs!"

"What?" Moira panicked. Seraphina's heart fell.

"I can't feel my legs!"

Seraphina  hovered Charles along while keeping his hand in hers. She tried her best to make it painless, but he would moan in pain every now and again. They were all miserable.

Walking through humid trees trying to find civilization, and then a hospital, in blue and yellow jumpsuits was not fun. More so when they had a severely injured member. They were all tired, and had been moving for hours.

Sean yelped, and they all went on high alert until they noticed he stood on a dirt road. They started running. Hank took Charles so Seraphin could concentrate on making him appear human to all seeing eyes. They ran, and ran, until a very run down hospital came into view.

Seraphina let out a breath she'd held at the slight relief she felt. The lot of them burst into the ER looking like half a circus while Hank spoke to the nurses(who knew he spoke Spanish?). With and understanding, Charles was rushed into surgery with the best doctor available. The wait began.

Plopping down on a filthy chair, she redid the ponytail which was oily and tangled. Sean sat next to her, with Darwin on the other side.

"Do you think he'll die?" Sean asked her. Seraphina patted him on the back feeling like a mother.

"No. There wan't much blood." she told him.

"That's good to hear."

"Yes, yes it is." Seraphina exhaled. The bad air conditioning may have been awful, but it beat the outside.

"What will we do now?" She heard Darwin mumble. Seraphina turned her head.

"Try to go back to normal." she heard herself say to an unconvinced taxi driver.

She snorted in thought. Nothing would be the same again.
