Please read! I'm sorry for the slow to come updates, I really am. Regardless though, I sadly have responsibilities even in the summer, and now I'm about to go on vacation for the next two weeks. I don't know how active I'll be but I'll do my best to crank out two or three, possibly four more chapters in the coming days. Thanks for reading you guys!

Also, does anyone else have a weird fascination with history? I certainly like it more than math...hehe..

"Okay, if no one will point out the obvious, I will. Where is Hank?" Seraphina said. She was beyond annoyed wearing the ugly blue and yellow suit, not to mention it cut off a good portion of the air she took in.

"I'm here." Seraphina and the others turned their gazes on the figure walking towards them. It wasn't Hank's build though. Soon they all saw why.

"It didn't attack the cells. It enhanced them. It didn't work." Hank continued. Hank was now blue and furry, with amber yellow eyes and a distinctly more animal like face to accompany a set of pointed nails. Raven stepped towards him.

"Yes it did, Hank." Raven started. Seraphina rolled her eyes. As much as Raven was nice, her whole disposition to her natural blue state had changed overnight. "Don't you see? This is who you were meant to be. This is you. No more hiding."

Erik decided to say the wrong thing. "Never looked better, man." Seraphina jumped as Hank lunged for Erik, successfully grabbing him around the throat and nearly strangling him while the others shrieked and ran forwards like chicken with their heads cut off. While Erik keeled, gasping for air, Alex shifted and looked at Hank.

"Even I gotta admit, you look pretty badass. I think I got a new name for you." Alex said with a smirk. Hand gave him a withering look. "Beast."

Seraphina sat aboard the plane clutching portion of seat under her legs since there were no arm rests. She listened numbly as Charles discovered the unmanned boat below them, and use his power to make the Russians fire on themselves to prevent it from crossing the embargo line. A tap on her shoulder made her crack one eye open to see a mess of curls.

"Yes, Sean?"

"What about flying has you so nervous?" he asked her. She exhaled through her nose a little bit. It was an innocent enough question.

"Just the thought that I'm currently stuck inside a large metal contraption above a deep ocean that, say the plane exploded, I would fall and die instantly on the ocean surface." She tilted her head more to look at Sean's face.

"Guess I never thought about that much, but thanks, for that cryptic death warning." Sean said after a moment.

"I'm not sure it was cryptic, but I'm happy to provide." They both chuckled lightly. Seraphina didn't quite notice, as her eyes were shut, that both Charles and Erik had been listening in to the exchange despite Moira saying something.

"I hate to break up the conversation, but we need to find Shaw." Erik said. Charles lifted two fingers to his temple, and the plane was silent for all of five minutes.

"I can't locate him. Whatever it was that he used before, he's using it again."

"We need to find him, now!" Erik said.

"Erik, yelling about it won't solve anything!" Seraphina retorted. Erik gave her an indignant look.

Charles meanwhile, looked for other ways. "Hank?"

"Is there anything unusual on the radar or scanners?" Hank responded. Moira checked, coming up with nothing.

"Well, he must be underwater, and we don't have sonar."

Hanks words sunk in but next to Seraphina Sean gave a little wiggle in his seat to sit up straighter.

"Yes we do!" Sean exclaimed. There was beat of silence. Charles' face split into a wide grin.

"Yes we do!" Charles repeated with a look of hope on his face. Seraphina also smiled.

The ramp to the plane lowered while they continued to fly, and after a moment of hesitation Sean jumped off. They all knew he was successful by the telltale scream that ripped through the air. Once back on, Erik went over to hold on to one of the supports of the ramp to get as close to the submarine as possible. Charles was behind him as the others held tightly onto the straps of the seats.

"You ready for this?" She heard Charles ask.

"Let's find out." was Erik's response. He raised his hand and seemed to grasp something invisible. She watched as the muscles in his body tensed as if he was pulling something ten times his weight. Technically he was, and a submarine was far heavier than that. She began to worry as the shape of the sub lingered just below the surface of the water. It moved closer, but not much and she could see Erik straining hard. In a moment's decision she unbuckled her seat against her fears and made her way quickly to where Erik was. Clutching onto Charles for lack of other hand grips she got somewhere close to Erik. She mimicked him and extended her own arm with her palm open and fingers spread wide.

Seraphina could feel the massive presence of the sub as soon as she reached for it. She had never attempted something so big, but having Erik help was good. She mentally grabbed it, and started her own effort to lift the vessel out of the sea.

Erik looked over his shoulder briefly to see Seraphina crouched behind him, one arm extended like himself while the other hand was squeezing the life out of Charles' hand. He felt the sub break the surface of the water and refocused. She was helping him immensely, though Erik would never acknowledge that he had needed her help.

Charles barely noticed his hand had lost blood flow due to Seraphina's death grip. He had heard her confess of her fear, and figured it was heights that scared her most. She was incredibly brave, or not thinking about where exactly she crouched. He suddenly let out a wild laugh as the submarine was completely lifted out of the water and followed the jet they were in. The others still in their seats whooped in joy, and he felt Seraphina shake with her own laugh of accomplishment. It was too good to last, though.

Seraphina felt ecstatic at the feat they had just accomplished. She quickly noticed though, that the enemy was not too thrilled.

Three figures appeared on top of the flying sub. One she recognized as the red devil Azazel. The other two must have been Angel and the one called Riptide. A sudden flaming ball came at them and hit the plane wing. Seraphina was numb as the shock of being fired at, and loosed her grip on Charles. Erik had already gotten back into the plane, but with her lapse of focus she had started to fall and immediately tightened onto Charles. She felt him do the same, but nonetheless they both slid forward and down. She screamed bloody murder as she felt nothing solid beneath her feet. Charles grabbed her one hand with both of his and tried scooting back. Erik shouted something incomprehensible but practically dove forward on the ramp and latched onto the straps of her suit on her shoulders.

The combined effort of both men lifted her back onto the plane and went as far back as the cockpit door. Seraphina didn't notice she was sobbing and holding onto Erik like a lifeline. She did notice, though, that she was still holding Charles' hand. Trying her utmost to calm down, she let go of both of them and laughed a little. Erik gave her a strange look.

"I'm a dribbling, snotty mess now, aren't I?" She said. Looking up properly she saw the relieved looks of Sean, Alex, Darwin, Moira, Charles, and the amused one from Erik.

"Having fun now?" he asked. To any other it might have come across as rude but she knew it was his odd way to ask if she was okay. She nodded. Then Hank told them the bad news.

"It's abut to get bumpy! Hold onto something!" he shouted. Hank ran out of his seat in the cockpit and grabbed onto one of several hand holds on the sloped wall of the plane.

She had forgotten about the fireballs aimed at them. Seraphina immediately clutched onto Erik, who was closest. Charles also held onto her making it an extremely awkward group hug with both men holding on to a strap on the wall as the plane crash landed on a sandy beach with the sub not too far behind them.
