Please remember this story is just a draft for now, when I edit /redo it this chapter and story in general will have a lot more detail etc this draft is just so I know where the story is going. The new version will end up A LOT better.

The Day She Moved In:

5th June 2015

Carly wasn't happy.

Of course Rachel could have found a better moment to tell Carly she was moving than waiting until the last minute, literally, but it hadn't been that easy. Anytime she had tried to tell her something would always interrupt them. A customer at work, a phone call...

Admittedly there were probably plenty more opportunities to tell Carly the truth but to be honest, Rachel was happy for the interruptions. She wanted to stall knowing exactly how her best friend would react if she knew she'd overheard her argument with Robbie.

She hadn't meant to stall until the very last day though, that just..happened.

For the past three weeks Rachel had been slowly packing up her things and moving them to Nate's secretly. It started small, some old pictures of her and her friends, small mementos from their trips, the odd pair of shoes , until moving on to a box full of clothes, her books and DVDs and whatever else she had lying around until finally she was left with just one box of clothing and her toiletries.

Lucky for Rachel, Carly didn't enter her room often, especially unannounced. However just as she had finished packing up the last box Carly barged in babbling about borrowing the black dress Hannah had given her for her 20th birthday.

She didn't look around the bare room as she talked, making her way over to the wardrobe. Instead she kept going on about some important dinner before flinging the wardrobe door open and coming to a stop.

She blinked, her mouth snapping shut as she closed the door and slowly looked over at Rachel before narrowing her eyes at the box on her bed. Rachel watched nervously as Carly studied the rest of her room, her mouth forming an 'o' shape before snapping her eyes back to Rachel's.

"What's going on here?" She asked with a small frown.

Rachel tugged at the sleeve of her top, wincing at the thought of finally having to come clean.

Sure, she would have had to have told her at some point today but not like this.

Not sober.

Rachel sighed knowing what was coming her way. "I'm um..moving." She mumbled.

Carly's eyes widened. "MOVING?! What the hell, are you serious right now?!" Rachel nodded, biting her lip. "Why?! Where?"

"Um actually Nate asked me to move in with him." Rachel explained, purposely leaving out the reason why she'd decided to move in the first place.

Carly gaped at her. "W-What? He did?"

"Yep."

"That's amazing!" Carly grinned rushing forward to hug her before hitting her hard on the arm. "Why the hell didn't you tell me, Rachel?! We could have celebrated! I can't believe you two are already getting so serious this is great!"

"You don't think it's too soon?"

As much as Rachel really wanted to move so that Carly could finally go and live with Robbie without having to worry about her, Rachel couldn't help but feel skeptical about moving in with Nate. They'd only been together for a few months, surely that was way too soon?
