Amy's P.O.V
"Yo! Elle!" I shouted from upstairs.
"Yeah Mimi!?" She shouted back from the kitchen.
"Can you come here and help fasten this dress please!" I laughed, trying to reach the zip but failing.
"Yeah sure!" She shouted before I heard her coming upstairs.
"Thanks hun." I smiled.
"It's okay." She said, carefully zipping up my dress. "You look lovely Mimi."
"Awh thanks! You look great too!" I smiled, hugging her. I'd got a medium length red swing dress with a lace overlay on while Estelle had got a blue skater dress on.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" She asked as I finished my makeup and my hair.
"Yeah, I'm sure it'll be great." I chuckled. I'd gone for a moderately natural look with black winged eyeliner and a matte red lipstick. Elle the same but with a nude coloured lipstick.
"When are the others due to get here?" She asked, making some finishing touches to her hair.
"I have no idea. I just said be here for about 9 so..." I laughed, before going downstairs to get some wine.
"Amy I don't get how you can be so okay after everything?" She said, taking a glass of wine.
"Because Elle, life is too short!" I cheered jumping up onto the kitchen counter. "You gotta live for the moment and fuck everyone else!" Estelle laughed before helping me down. "So raise your glass to this! A complete new start!"
"To a new start!" She chuckled.
"Just follow my lead and you'll be okay." I smiled before going to look outside. "And so it begins."
3 hours in and everyone was having the most amazing time. Me and Elle were laughing and joking around when the boys arrived. Estelle reached for my hand and gave it a squeeze. I took a deep breath and approached them.
"Evening." I smiled, handing them a beer. They all stood with their jaws locked open. "For pity's sake close your mouths you're not goldfish."
"Erm, I- wow." Evan stuttered, gulping.
"What?" I shrugged. "I do scrub up well yano."
"Well yeah..." Ross said, his eyes widening. I rolled my eyes before walking off for another drink with Estelle following me. "Don't break anything!" I shouted not even turning to look at them.
"I don't think they were expecting that!" Estelle chuckled.
"And they won't be expecting this." I smirked turning the music off and putting Elvis Presley on resulting in mixed opinions. Hayley, Charlotte, Rebecca and Jane partnered up and started dancing to Jailhouse Rock. "Follow my lead."
"Amy I don't dance!" She laughed before taking my hands.
"Neither do I but I've watched enough Strictly Come Dancing to have picked up some basic Jive steps." I laughed, starting with some kicks and flicks. Out the corner of my eye I could see the lads looking on in disbelief as I danced round my front room. Estelle held her hands up in a surrender before collapsing onto the sofa in fits of giggles. I laughed before continuing round the room. Estelle sat upright when she saw josh quickly approaching me and I honestly thought she was going to intervene until I grabbed his hand and span myself round continuing dancing.
"What do I do here?!" He laughed, slurring his words slightly. I rolled my eyes stopping.
"Okay." I said, standing facing him and holding his hands. "Basically it's like this." I said, stepping back on the right and forward again like a rocking motion before skipping side to side. Not as elegant as the beginning of the evening but I was under the influence of at least one bottle of wine. "Except you go back on the left not the right."
"This is so confusing." He laughed.
"Nah it's not c'mon." I chuckled, leading him. Soon enough we were doing a basic jive. "See! You've got it!"
"What now?" He laughed.
"Add some kicks." I chuckled, beginning to add some kicks in.
Once the song finished josh collapsed back onto the sofa completely out of breath.
"How can you still be going!?" He gasped.
"Easy. Lots and lots of practice." I chuckled, moving into the 'drunken sailor' step before doing a 'toe, heel, swivel' manoeuvre. I looked around to see where Estelle had gone but she was nowhere to be seen. I sat on the other side of the sofa once I'd finished my dance moves when Josh nodded towards the door. I smiled and nodded before he got up and walked out into the garden. I left it ten minutes before grabbing another bottle of rosé and heading out to the secret meeting place.
Once I got their I climbed up to the tree house and saw Josh waiting inside on a beanbag.
"Hey psycho." He winked referring to the name in his phone.
"Hey my babe." I laughed doing the same before sitting beside him.
"Just to let you know I spoke to the lads and they've agreed to leave you alone at school. Estelle as well." He smiled.
"Thank you. It means a lot." I smiled, taking a sip of my wine. "I'm guessing we still can't be public though."
"Street cred and all that." He shrugged.
"Wow am I that embarrassing?" I asked going to stand up but Josh stopping me.
"No of course not! I just need to wait for the right time." He smiled leaning in and planting a kiss slowly on my lips. "I promise as soon as the time is right I will tell them."
"If you say so." I sighed, cuddling against him.
"But for the meantime the secrecy is rather exciting." He smirked, kissing the top of my head.
"Okay I'll give you that one." I chuckled. "I feel bad not telling Estelle though."
"Tell her if you'd like, just swear her to secrecy." He shrugged.
"Oh yeah cause after everything you've done to us that'd go down a treat." I laughed, rolling my eyes.
"Fair enough. We'll pick our right time. But in the meantime..." He smirked, pulling my chin towards him and kissing me tenderly.
