Lyric had called her dad to check on her mom"Hey how's mom?" "She could be better kiddo,where's your sister?" "She just walked up and your on speaker" "Jewel I need you and Lyric to go to the office and explain what's going on with your mom" "okay? Why how's she doing?" "I'll explain when you girls get home just go to the office and explain" "okay" The girls hung up heading to the office.
"Hello girls what can I do for you?" Mrs.Ray said "you know how our mom is in the hospital right?" "Yes,how is she doing?" "We don't know Lyric got a call from our dad saying we needed to come home and he would explain" Mrs.Ray nodded"alright well I want you to have him call the second you get home okay?" Jewel nodded "we will" The two left heading home.
"Dad how's mom?" "Well her doctor called and the cancer is taking over. They don't think she's going to pull through" He said after getting off the phone with the school. The two girls looked at him in shock"your lying its some sick joke" Jewel said "I wish it was Jewel I wish it was" Jewel stumbled slightly leaning on Lyric.
Lyric held her younger sister rubbing her back. 'I hope everything is going to be okay' Lyric thought.
