A/N: I don't own this song. You should probably know that. They're both 16 and it's when Percy went missing. And sorry for the clashing music video and lyrics. I used the clean/radio version and this is the explicit version. Sorry about the gun shots and such too. Song of The Chapter: Payphone. Obviously.

It was your typical day in the Athena Cabin. Hermione Wilson was reading. Ivory Banks was napping. Malcolm was doing trigonometry. They say our cabin likes doing it, but that's only Malcolm. Trig sucks. Annabeth was sitting on her bunk, staring off into space. This happened a lot since Percy went missing.
Sometimes, when she was stressed or worried or sad or anything like that, Annabeth would start singing under her breath (A/N: We established that they sing like two chapters ago.). Not like we minded. She was a great singer. Please don't tell her I said that; she'd judo-flip me or something.
It looked like this was a singing day. Annabeth started softly singing a song I didn't recognize (A/N: I know this is like my fourth AN this chapter, but yes, I know she probably couldn't've heard the song, but chill.).

I'm at a Payphone trying to call home
Oh all my change I've spent on you
Where have the times gone?
Baby it's all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

Any noise ceased so we could hear her sing. Ivory even jolted awake.

Yeah, I, I know it's hard to remember
The people we used to be
It's even harder to picture,
That you're not here next to me

You say it's too late to make it
But is it too late to try?
And in our time that you wasted
All of our bridges burned down

I've wasted my nights,
You turned out the lights
Now I'm paralyzed
Still stuck in that time
When we called it love
But even the sun sets in paradise

I'm at a payphone trying to call home
Oh all my change I've spent on you
Where have the times gone?
Baby it's all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If 'Happy Ever After' did exist,
I would still be holding you like this
All those fairy tales are full of it
One more stupid love song I'll be sick

Oh, you turned your back on tomorrow
'Cause you forgot yesterday
I gave you my love to borrow,
But you just gave it away

Annabeth's eyes were sparkling with tears at this point.

You can't expect me to be fine
I don't expect you to care
I know I've said it before
But all our bridges burned down

I've wasted my nights
You turned out the lights
Now I'm paralyzed
Still stuck in that time
When we called it love
But even the sun sets in paradise

I'm at a payphone trying to call home
Oh all my change I've spent on you
Where have you gone?
Baby it's all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If 'Happy Ever After' did exist
I would still be holding you like this
All those fairy tales are full of it
One more stupid love song I'll be sick
I'm at a pay phone

Yeah, yeah, now baby don't hang up
So I can tell you what you need to know,
Baby I'm begging you just please don't go
So I can tell you what you need to know

I'm at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have you gone?
Baby it's all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If 'Happy Ever After' did exist
I would still be holding you like this
All those fairy tales are full of it
One more stupid love song I'll be sick
I'm at a payphone . .

We all sat in awed silence, looking at her. Her voice still amazes us. After all this time? Always. Darn it. I owe Ivory five drachmas for quoting another book.
