"hey sweetie" he spoke to me "I believe you're the grandmother correct?" Doctor Bran smiled asking shonsai
she smiled shaking his hand "yes, nice to see you again"
"same to you. so Ashanti how has everything been since our last visit?"
I sighed "baby wise great. she's getting so active now"
"that's great! whatever's going on in your personal life I don't want you dwelling on it too much. try not to stress your self out, we don't want anything to happen that can put the baby in danger"
I nodded my head agreeing, Doctor Bran layed me down putting the cold gel on my belly
"have you thought of any baby names?" he asked
"no not much" I said
he chuckled "well you should get on it, before you know it your baby girl will be here"
"I've tried to tell her" shonsai sucked her teeth
"shush" I smiled thinking about it
"are you going to take any maternity pictures?" he asked
"yeah, I was thinking of doing a before and after kinda thing"
he laughed "make sure I get mine"

"you want anything from here?" shonsai asked pulling up to checkers
I bit my bottom lip and smiled "no but I could go for some portillos"
she groaned "girl if you don't get some off this damn menu"
I gave a playful stank face before looking over the menu board
"if yo ass that hungry better tell yo baby daddy bring you some portillos"
I scoffed "don't go there mama"
the drive thru employee took our order and told us to pull forward.
"you can't ignore that lil boy forever" she said
"I didn't say I would, I just don't want nothing to do with him right now" I spoke
"shanti I know that's my child and all, and what he did was wrong but I get where you coming from one hundred percent" she paid the lady at the window then pulled to the next "but wouldn't you rather him see you, see how good you doing? let him see what he really missing out on"
I bit my bottom lip.
we got our food and headed back to her house.
"you don't even know if it's his baby" she said
"I know.. and I don't wanna know. I'm afraid of what I'll do if I find out it is"

I pouted "yeah but you don't get it, sometimes I wanna stab yo son"
