>SCARLET'S POV<

I woke up in the tent, to see no one besides me. Where did Ivan go? I walked to the couch where he slept, and saw he used my quill and parchment to make a note.

Dear Scarlet,

I believe I still need to continue my journey back to that fountain. I'm deeply sorry if I didn't say goodbye when you wake up. Nor I could wake you myself because you looked so peaceful. I shall see you one of these days.

I read the letter out loud, and nodded to nothing. Placing it down, I went to the kitchen to make something for me so I won't starve. I ate quietly, that the dead silence made me crazy. I need to get use to this.

>THIRD PERSON<

Scarlet then went out and placed her palm on the stone once again. She felt more confident now, that even her mother's screams did not terrorize her. As the hole opened, she sat beside it.

When a rustling noise came from behind a bush.

"I'm not ready!" Scarlet shrieked to herself, shooting her flames towards the bush alarmingly, as the thing burst into flames.

It was very foolish of her.

Someone innocent would've died behind there!

And the fact it was all her fault...

She quickly rushed to the bush, with her heart pounding faster, than a jaguar after it's dinner. "Who are you?!" she screamed as it kept on rattling & rattling and the sound of crackling fire. But a figure jumped out and began to run around the place trying to put it out. Maybe it was just too dumb enough because Scarlet had a full bucket of water beside it? She grabbed the its collar, bringing her face to the stranger. The figure lost balance and fell to the floor. She was now straddling it, her hands still holding onto its collar. "WHO ARE YOU?! WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!" she bellowed angrily.

"Trying to kill you? Have you drank too much coffee or something?"
"Wait the f*ck of a moment?!"
"Wait, is that you?"
She gasped.

"Ben?!"

The teenager's hood fell off, to reveal Beckket Kingsley looking at Scarlet with a wide smile, when she slapped him across the face, making it fade. "What'dya do that for?!" he exclaimed surprisingly, jumping to his feet as Scarlet fell down. "You gave me a heart attack!"

"Well, you gave me a heart attack first after setting my bush on fire!"

"Your bush? It's your bush?"

"Heck yeah! I've been bloody looking and studying that symbol ever since I came across it! How 'bout you? What happened to you?"
And that's when the conversation got busier & busier.

"You're saying that this is a person you know's symbol?" --B

"Yeah. And I need to know what that hole does." --S

"What the hole does..? You mean that entrance to something?" --B

"An entrance?!" --S

"Well, yes! People have been jumping into that thing like who knows how many times! It's like they have to do something though...." --B

"Like place their hands on the floor...?" --S
