Jeremy ran into the guestroom he was staying, grabbed his belongings and stuffed them into his sports bag.

"Jeremy!" Bonnie called out, "Please, calm down."

"Leave me alone Bonnie." Jeremy huffed. "there is no need for me being here. I have stuff to do back home."

Bonnie broke into tears. "Jeremy, please!"

"Bonnie, just give me some space!" Jeremy was annoyed. "We can talk after I get back to Mystic Falls." He said, took his bag and rushed back to the living room to say goodbye to Caroline.

"I'm going now." Jeremy said to Caroline. "Bye."

"Jeremy, I'm sorry..." Caroline started.

"Don't be. It's not your problem." Jeremy mumbled.

"Well, tell Elena that I said hi and I'm coming home for Christmas." Caroline said since she didn't know what else to say.

"I will..." Jeremy ensured vaguely.

"I called Elijah while you were packing. He waits outside. He'll take you to the airport." Caroline explained. She felt sorry for Jeremy.

Jeremy waved his hand and took off. Invisible Bonnie was crying while watching him go, Kol was wandering in the living room. Caroline felt shivering. The whole apartment felt tensed. Caroline took a deep breath.

"Bonnie. I wish we could talk." She whispered.

"Me too." Bonnie answered although she knew that Caroline couldn't hear.

"But if you can get Kol in order..." Caroline joked tiredly. "Maybe we can." She said and walked slowly to her room to check up Lucas and call Klaus.

Bonnie trudged to the sofa and slumped on it. She felt devastated. Kol lurked in the otherside of the room. Bonnie sobbed quietly. Kol grew more and more akward. He looked at Bonnie and slowly walked to the sofa and sat next to her.

"Go away." Bonnie cried out and buried her face in her palms.

"I don't... I don't like seeing you upset like this." Kol said akwardly.

"Oh, well, you should've thought of that before you opened your big mouth!" Bonnie spat out.

"I didn't know that I would care..." Kol muttered so low that Bonnie couldn't hear. "Well, I guess I'm a yerk. " He spoke more out loud.

"Yes you are!" Bonnie confirmed through the silent tears. "You know, Jeremy has been the only person I can talk to in the living side!? And now he's mad at me and might never speak to me again. I don't even expect that you understand how devastating that is."

"You can talk to me...?" Kol tried. He had this unusual feeling pressing his chest... Remorse?

"I don't want to talk to you." Bonnie spilled out her anger. She felt something strong towards Kol but she wasn't sure what it was. She didn't want to process that right then. Anger was the easiest way to deal with Kol at the moment..

They sat in silence for a very long time. Bonnie yearned to have the ability to talk to Caroline. Kol struggled with his feelings. He had always done whatever he liked without thinking of the consequences. It had worked for him for a thousand years and never before had he felt remorse. Kol secretly eyed Bonnie, he felt uneasy to see her hurt.

"Here goes for nothing..." He muttered under his breath. "I'm... Sorry." Kol finally said.

Bonnie sort of snapped out of her thoughts. "Excuse me, what?!"

"I'm...Sorry." Kol said again, akwardly.

"I can't believe what I'm hearing." Bonnie wondered aloud.

"I'm not going to say it for the third time." Kol whined. "If you want, I can try to talk to him."

"Are you serious?" Bonnie wiped her eyes and wondered.

"As serious as Kol Mikaelson can be." Kol laughed unhappily.

"Why?" Bonnie asked.

"Because you're the only other person I have been able to talk after I died." Kol said unexpectedly. "As fascinating as I am, it still gets dull to speak only to yourself after a certain amount of time." He joked dimly.

Bonnie couldn't help but laugh a little. "Kol Mikaelson, as modest as always."

"I have a reputation to maintain, Sweetie." Kol smirked a bit and look down in his hand that rested on his lap.

Suddenly Bonnie reached to take Kol's hand and gave it a little squeeze. "It gets lonely here on the Other Side, huh?" Bonnie said. She felt the pulse again, but tried to ignore it. Now was not the time to discuss about that.

Kol looked at his and Bonnie's hands and then to Bonnie's eyes. "Yes it does." He agreed. Kol couldn't help but wonder why he and Bonnie had this kind of a tingling connection. He also pondered why he felt very unusual feelings around Bonnie. It couldn't be just lust.

"If you help me with Jeremy, I think I might tolerate talking to you." Bonnie said eventually.

"Great!" Kol said super excited, "Then we can all be friends and braid each other's hairs and and..." He was clearly sarcastic. He had gone in his usual ways.

Bonnie draw herself away from him and crossed her arms over her chest. "Fine then." She pouted.

"Sorry.. Sorry. Bad habit." Kol sighed. "I can try to convince Jeremy to load all his anger towards me instead of you."

"Why would you do that?"

"Because that's my thing, Sweetie. Being a total jackass. If he's all angry with me, he can't be so mad at you." Kol grinned.

"I mean, seriously. Why would you help me to get on Jeremy's better side?"

"I have my reasons." Kol said vaguely. "You appeal to my gentleman side. Such a classic damsel in distress." He grinned.
