Johns pov
It's been a week, April lost a lot of blood and she still hasn't woken up. Everyday I visit her but I got some glares from Jack, Danny even some of my pack members. I stopped seeing Jenny after that horrible incident. I slowly opened the door to Aprils room, I stared at her pale, limp body on the bed as chords surrounded her beautiful face.
"April I'm sorry, i fucked up badly again!" I say as tears fell from my eyes, my eyes were all puffy and red.
"Get out" I turned around and saw Jack standing there with bags under his eyes.
"Jack you should get some sleep, you look...really tired, I'll watch her" I say
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT APRIL WANTS" he says punching the wall
"WELL I DON'T THINK SHE'D BE GLAD THAT WERE FIGHTING!" His expression softened
"I'm sorry John, I know your her mate but I loved her more then you ever did" Jack slams the door leaving the whole room in dead silence.
"April wake up god dammit!" I took one last glance and just as I was about to leave I felt something squeeze my hand.
"Oh my god, OH MY GOD NURSE, NURSE" I jumped up and down just shouting at the top of my lungs
"What is it alpha?!"
"She she squeezes my hand she's alive!!!" The nurse gasps as she calls the doctor in the room
"April if your ok squeeze my hand honey." The doctor says sweetly, I looked down at Aprils hand and saw slight movement and then a squeeze and then...
"How-how long was I out?" She says getting up
"APRIL OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I LOST YOU!" I say hugging her tightly
"You can't lose what you never had" she says as she pushes me away, the doctors saw what was going on so they left.
"Listen I know I fucked up bu-"
"APEE!!!" Danny says screaming like a child
"DANNY!!" It looked like they were brother and sister separated at birth or something
"I missed you so much April, you don't know how boring it is in this pack house."
"Well I asked you if you wanted to see a movie with me but you said you were busy" Danny looks at me
"Well I don't wanna go to a movie with a guy who almost killed my best friend!" Danny shouts out, I nod not trying to start a fight again.
"Danny could you please wait outside" he nods but glares at me
"Don't hurt her" I nodded as he leaves
"John why?" She whispers looking down at her hands
"I- I honestly don't know April, I guess since she was paying me I would use the money for you" she sniffles, oh great she's crying.
"How long have you been doing this?"
"It doesn't ma-"
"HOW LONG?" She shouts out
"Last week.." She looked up at me with red eyes
"But that was when we had our date.. " I nod remembering the good times we had
"I'm sorry April I just wanted to make you happy"
"You know money doesn't make me happy, I just needed someone who cared about me, I needed you John but you rejected me"
"I know but can you please forgive me April I'm begging you!!!!" She rolls her eyes
"Fine but promise me you will never ever do that to me again or I swear John I'm gone for good" I nod as she slightly smiles
"And John"
"Yeah"
"Could you get Athena (her kitten) she's probably sleeping in Danny's room" I nodded and ran as fast as I could.

Aprils pov

I know  that I gave in to easily but I was tired, I had nothing else to lose in this life of mine. I waited for John to return with Athena. I looked at my phone which was randomly beside me and looked at my notifications, all of them were from Hunter, you see before I passed out Hunter, Van and his mate decided to head back home. I looked at how many snaps he sent. Holy crap he sent 50 snaps!
"Hey April here's Athena!" John says as he hands Athena over
"Thanks now go I'm tired" he nods and kisses my cheek as he shuts off the lights and closes the door. I fell asleep with Athena in my arms and a smile.
