New Adventures

As I'm lying there awake I couldn't help but be grateful that I was alive. I mean I could have died and here I am awake enjoying the sunshine and the fresh air of a new day. I sighed and smiled. I quickly fixed my bed and ran to my closet to change. After I get dressed I make my way down to the kitchen area and greeted the kitchen staff. Most of them ignored me and treated me weird. I didn't understand why but I sort of brushed it off. One girl did come up to me and that made me happy. "Lily at your service Emma." I smiled. "Thank you." She smiled. "May I serve you some breakfast?" I smiled sweetly. "Please if you don't mind." She smiles and nodded. I went and sat in the table that was across from the main kitchen and she served me breakfast then sat with me. "Thanks but aren't you going to eat as well?" "Already did." I smiled. As I was eating I couldn't help but feel that all the people in here were giving me dirty looks. "Hey Lily, why are they looking at me weird?" "Oh just ignore them they are all envious people." I stayed quiet. "They just thought it was weird that the king picked a stranger that he found a year ago to be his right hand when many of us have been working here since before he was even born." "Oh." I felt bad but it wasn't my fault that the king had picked me. She grabbed my hand. "Don't let them get to you, I think you and the king make a cute couple." I couldn't help but blush. "I'm just his assistant." She smirked. "Sure." I laughed. "Hey um where exactly did the king find me?" Her face turned pale. "Well you see...." And that's when Killian walks into the kitchen area. "There you are." Lily and I jumped. "Your place is at the main dinning hall Emma come on let's go." He grabs my hand and we walk away. As I'm being pulled away, I wave goodbye. "Thanks Lily see you later." She waves goodbye and I look at Killian and wondered why he did that. We arrived to the dinning hall and he sat me down. I was a little confused but shook it off. He sits down and Helena greets me with a warm smile. "How are you on this lovely morning Emma?" I smiled. "Good and yours?" "Good." I smiled. I opened my agenda. "Killian remember that today is the trip to Seneca." He nods and sighs. "Ugh so tedious." I couldn't help but smile. "I need you to take care of things while I'm gone." My eyes shot open. "What?" He nods. "Yes when I'm not in the kingdom you will be in charge." I stayed quiet. "Just in case something happens which I doubt will but you can always ask my mother for advice if such thing does happen." I look at Helena and she nods. I smiled and nodded. Helena quickly got up. "Will you excuse me?" We both nodded and she walked away. I had to take advantage of this time because Killian was going to be gone for at least a good two weeks. "Killian?" He looks up and smiles. "Yes Emma?" I started to get nervous. "Do you think it's possible, well if I can go with you and you can leave your mom in charge?" He gave me a confused look. "Ok you would rather be with me than stay here and be the one in charge?" I smiled and nodded. He smiled. "Well it would be my pleasure to take you on that trip." I smiled. "Now go off and pack up your suitcase." I smiled and went up to my room. I was dying because I wanted to ask him where he found me but instead I was going to join him on his voyage to Seneca. Well the good thing is that I will be able to go on a ship. Since I'm having constant flashbacks of being around water maybe being out there it will help me.

Killian's POV
I'm a little nervous that she wants to come with me but hey this only means that we will be able to spend more time together. I really don't want her to remember her past life but I do want her to fall in love with me. I love her but the real question is will she ever love me? Everything was set and the carriage was waiting for us. I see Emma coming down and I put a huge smile on my face. "You ready?" She smiles and nods. We enter the carriage and off we rode to the docks. The knights put all our gear into the ship and I escorted Emma on to the ship without anyone going up to her. I need to protect her since she was a feared pirate. I tried my best for her to not have any contact with anyone that wasn't part of my people from the castle. I know its wrong to be so overprotective but its for her own good. As the ship sailed off I couldn't help but think of my time when I was on the Black Shadows with Emma. She was so different back then. She was staring off into the horizon and I couldn't help but stare at her. What was she thinking, what was going on in her mind? I wish I could just tell her that I'm the one her heart longs for but I don't want to pressure her.

Emma's POV
I couldn't help but feel mesmerized by the sea. I don't know why but I felt a strong connection to it. I couldn't explain the connection but all I know is that the sea is linked with my memories and with my past life. I was going to find out sooner or later but in the mean time I was going to help the king and be the assistant that he wants me to be. I kept messing around with my ring and thought was there someone out there looking for me? I just had to find out because this was driving me mad. "Liking the view?" I turn around and its Killian. I nod. "Its beautiful I just...there's just something about it that just catches my attention almost as if its connected to my past life." I look at Killian and he's just smiling nervously. He stays quiet. "Hey Killian where exactly did you find me?" He stays quiet and looks away. "Killian?" He coughs. "I found you lying on the floor all bloody and coughing up blood." I gasp. "What happened to me?" He looks away and shrugs. My mind wandered off and I tried to think of every possible scenario that could leave me like that but nothing was making sense. "So I have no one?" He turned to me and smiled. "You do now." I smiled and thought it was so cute how he's trying to make me feel good and not worry. But then again why would the king of a great kingdom be worried about a no one like me? I guess it was just another question that was added to my endless sea of questions. Time passed and it was night time. Everyone was in the eating quarters and I had decided to stay up on deck to admire the endless sea of darkness. For some reason it calmed me down but yet it frustrated me because it was the only thing that I know is linked with my past life. I really felt like Killian was hiding something from me but you know I can't like confront him, he's the king. As I was there I hear someone walk over to me and I over look my shoulder and it was Killian. "You ok?" I nod and smile. "Well you were right about taking this route instead of the one by the North Sea." I looked over at him and grinned. "I told ya." He smiled. I couldn't help but feel a weird connection with him. "Hey Killian, are you sure we hadn't met before you found me, its just that your face looks awfully familiar?" He stays quiet and gets nervous. "Your majesty you are needed in the cabin." He coughs and nods. "I'm sorry  Emma we will continue this conversation later." I nod and he walks away. He did know me he just didn't want to say anything if not he wouldn't have gotten nervous or he knows what happened to me and doesn't want to tell me because it's bad. I shook my head and tried to forget about everything and enjoy this trip. It was after all an adventure and after being cooped up in the castle for so long I think I deserved this.

Many Many Days Later....
Our time here at Seneca was amazing. And let me tell you I enjoyed it, just that one day when Killian was gone the entire day I didn't like but it was to meet with important people but besides that everything was awesome. We stayed there for a month since a big storm had hit and it delayed our journey back to Garrington. During our stay here I have gotten much closer to Killian and let me tell you I think I fell for him but I don't know if he is interested in me. He is just so awesome. He's amazing and I feel myself with him. I have fun with him even though he's my king. I don't know it's weird but I try not to get my hopes up. I mean I don't know if I ever got my heart broken before but to get your heart broken by a king would suck. It was a bright and sunny day on the ship and let me tell you I already knew I was going to enjoy it. I love having one on one time with Killian and I think he does too. We are standing by the edge and decided to just play a game to see what we could spot in the water. "Blue whale!" I scream. He laughs. "Where I don't see it." I laugh and point. He laughs and looks at me suspiciously. "Sure pick something that has the same color as the water." I smiled. "What are you mad because you're losing your majesty?" I said to him in a mocking tone. He laughed. "Oh so it's going to be like that huh?" I nodded. He smiled and set his eyes on the water. "Jumping Dolphins!" He screams. I look and sure enough there they were jumping out of the water. I scoffed. He smiled proudly. "So who's losing now?" I couldn't help but smile. I had placed my hand on top of the railing that's on the ship and I felt Killian's hand close to mine. I felt nervous and next thing you know he grabbed my hand and I panicked but I went and held it tight. For some reason it felt good. I felt safe holding his hand and boy was my heart pounding. He then looked at me and he smiled like crazy. I couldn't help but smile back. Was I really in love with the king of Garrington? No I can't. But he is amazing. No but what if I'm married or with someone else? Well if I really was with someone they would have been out there looking for me. He started to lean in closer to me and I got nervous. He scanned my face and I loved how he was just staring at me. I look at him and I could see him staring at my lips. I looked at him and smiled. I leaned in close to him and I closed my eyes. We were about an inch apart that I could just feel his breath. My heart started to pound. Was the king going to kiss a nobody like me? At that moment someone yells and he backs away. He coughs. "My apologies Emma." I stood there a little confused and honestly disappointed. "Oh no it's ok." He smiled and walked off. I just stood there happy yet confused. I couldn't believe that he was going to kiss me, ME! I shook my head and decided to just ignore that this had ever happened.
