Hours later a nurse came in saying that I had a visitor, I didn't know anyone who would visit me but I assumed it was a coworker or another detective.
It was Shane McMahon
My eyes widened slightly
Why the hell was he here to visit me?? Is he part of this plan too? Are all the McMahons in on it?
The nurse left and Shane pulled up a chair near me.
"Are you here to shoot me too?" I said rudely
He sighed
"Listen Stella, I know this is all horrible for you and I know you won't believe me when I say this but it's not Stephanie's fault"
"What the fuck how is it not her fault she shot me" I said harshly
"I know that dammit!!" He said loudly, I flinched afraid of what he might do to me he sighed again and began running is his forehead
"Just listen to me Stella please, look I know it looks bad yes she did shoot you but she had no choice"
"What do you mean??" I asked
"Our farther" he began "he stole money from those charity's not her and he wanted someone to cover it up so he wouldn't get caught. So he threatened Stephanie. He said if she didn't listen that he would kill you and-
"How does he know about me and Stephanie" I asked
"I honestly don't know"
"So she wasn't trying to kill me she was trying to protect me"
Shane nodded
"Where is she now?" I asked
"That's the thing.....she's with him and she's in danger. She said if anything happens to her she wanted you to know that she loves you"
Tears begin to form in my eyes, I have to find her I'm not gonna let anyone hurt her ever!
"Where are they??" I asked
"In my dads house b-
"We are gonna go get her" I said he looked over at me with a concerned look.
"But your leg isn't healed yet we can't risk it Stella-
"I'm gonna find her and no one will stop me"
"Alright but first we gotta get you out of this hospital" he said
He walked out the door and started talking to the doctors about me getting out I could hear the doctors say several weeks because apparently when Steph shot me she didn't hit anything important.
Shane came back over to me and we formed a plan to get Stephanie.
