There was this daddy who swore he'd stay
But then he picked up his luggage and he went away
Now little kiddie is sad and doesn't know why
And mommy holds back her no matter how much she wants to cryThere was this momma who said she'd never leave
And then she packed up her bags and deceived
That little kiddie who was oh so mad
And papa who was so, so sadThere was this kiddie who had had enough
They gathered their things and then they were off
Mom didn't know why
And dad wanted to cry
If they had put their differences aside
Maybe their little kiddie wouldn't have had to died
