"Okay, look I know I messed up"Zeb said, tense himself
"GARAZEB ORRELIOS, WHAT DID YOU DO?"Hera yelled and was very angry
"....I went to our cabin and I asked Ezra to open the door. But he didn't want to then I asked Kanan to help me get the door open and....."Zeb was interrupted by Hera yelling at Kanan.
"Kanan ! You cant just invade Ezra's privacy like that. It's his choice if he is going to open the door or not !"
" I did open the door but I didn't know that Ezra would be angry because of it"Kanan said in defense
"That is not why he got angry..."Zeb said looking down again as Sabine turned to him "What do you mean that is not why he got angry?"
"..When Kanan opened the door I saw Ezra sitting on the lower bunk. I told him about the idea but he declined to even listen at first and afterwards also refused to do anything ...."Zeb stopped talking for a moment
"I don't see why would that make him angry"Sabine said confused
".. I told him that he needs to stop dwelling on the past and move on....He really got angry and yelled and also..he..uh force pushed me out of the room"Zeb finnished being very nervous saying the last part
"Wait Ezra force pushed you ??"Kanan asked raising his voice a bit
"...That is so not like him"Sabine said looking down
"Yeah...your right, that isn't the Ezra we know"Hera said as Kanan added
"That is not the padawan I know"
After a moment of silence suddenly Hera got up and started walking towards the exit of the cockpit
"Hey where are you going?"Kanan asked turning to her as she replied
"To cheer up Ezra"
AFTER ONE HOUR......
"Ezra can you please come to the cockpit?"Hera asked over the com-link
"....What is it?"Ezra answered back
"I need you to do something"Hera said
"..Um alright.."Ezra said and got up from his bunk and went to the cockpit where Hera was waiting
"Hey Ezra"Hera said with a calming smile but the boy remained quiet, noticing they were currently in space.
"Wanna fly the ship?"Hera asked cheerfully. Ezra's eyes widened at her question
"..What? No ! I don't want to get you guys killed and besides I don't even know to fly it..."Ezra said with a bit of fear in his voice. He truely thought he would mess up. Hera looked at the boy concerned, the Ezra she knew would immedietly sit down and do his best but..
".But your wish was always to fly the ship...plus you asked me so many times. And we are in a calm area right now. There's nothing to worry abou-."Hera was interrupted by Ezra
"Hera, I figured that I am not a good pilot and I will never be. I am not even a good padawan...thanks though"
The boy smiled slightly before exiting the cockpit as a thank you gesture but that did soothe Hera's concern at all.
"Ezra.."Hera managed to say as she looked down.
"How can he think about himself like that.."
She then got up from the pilot chair and went to Kanan's room.
Standing In front of the door, Hera knocked saying "Um Kanan I need to talk to you about...Ezra"
The door immedietly opened and Kanan was standing right in front of Hera now
"What about Ezra?"The Jedi asked in a worried tone.
"Lets go in to talk"Hera gestured as the pair went inside the cabin, the door closing behind them
"What happened?"Kanan asked
"..I was planning on letting Ezra fly the ship and when I asked him...he said that he could get us killed and..."Hera paused
"And?"Kanan asked
"He said that he is not a good pilot and that he....isn't a good padawan either"The female Twi'lek said looking directly in Kanan's eyes
"What?? Why would he say that. HE is the best Padawan a Master can have"Kanan said with a worried tone, he obviously seemed to be stressed.
"...I know... but he doesn't see himself like as a good padawan..."Hera added and saw Kanan heading to the exit of the Cabin
"Where are you going?" she asked
"To see Ezra"Kanan said and the door behind him closed
IN FRONT OF EZRA'S CABIN.....
"Hey Ezra..."Kanan asked knocking on the door but there was no response "Can you open up please?"
"....I uh im uh writing something, maybe later"Ezra said a little louder and really quickly. Obviously a lie.
"Please Ezra I have to talk to you"Kanan said in a gentle tone
Then the door opened as the older man's face lit up, he was suprised but mostly happy. The younger boy was sittin on the lower bunk.
"Alright, what is it?"Ezra asked in a cold tone which kind of brought Kanan back to reality. His tone seemed so emotionless..scary even.
"I wanted to talk to you about something"Kanan said and sat next to Ezra as the boy moved away a little.
"There is a tradition where Master and Padawan go somewhere togather like a trip...so I was wondering if you would like to go..?"Kanan asked. There was a small pause.
Ezra didnt know how to answer, why was Kanan asking this. Why would he want to go on a trip with him ?. Especially now, Ezra felt so undeserving of Kanan's gestures and everyone's gestures to cheer him up.
"Master I......"Ezra started but was interrupted by Kanan
"Great, I'll meet you tomorrow at the ramp, 9.00 o'clock in the morning. See you there"Kanan said as he got up from the bunk and started heading to the exit of the cabin. He smiled at Ezra before the door closed leaving the younger boy aone with his thoughts again.
Ezra sighed collapsing back on the bunk
"Why does he want to go on a trip with me...Honestly I am the worst padawan a Master can have...so why..?"
