You brother said, sticking his tongue out at you before leaving you in the living room alone with Ashton. Since Ashton was new to the neighbourhood you didn't know him as well as some of your brother's other friends, but he seemed friendly. "Don't worry, I won't kill you with my piles of boredom" you laughed, trying to make idle conversation. "Oh, no problem." Ashton smiled, sitting down on the floor next to you, your legs touching. "So what's fun to do around here?" He asked, but his cologne smelt so good you just wanted to jump on him rather than answer the question. "Errr there's not a lot, but I'm sure my brother will find you something fun to do." You mumbled. "Well I was hoping you could show me, actually." You eyebrows rose at his response, was he trying to ask you out? He clearly saw your reaction and backtracked. "I mean unless you don't want to, that's cool as well. I'm sorry that was-" "No, I'd like to. But we probably shouldn't tell my brother about this." You smiled, and he winked back, making you blush violently and your stomach flutter.

Michael: You stomped up the stair case, your brother, Luke, repeatedly calling your name. "Yes?" You huffed once you'd opened his door, leaning against the door frame. "Can you get us some drinks?" Luke asked, not taking his eyes off the console game. "Excuse me?" You said, not quite believing what you were hearing. "Michael and I are thirsty. Drinks." He repeated, slower this time. "No I heard you, I just didn't realised I'd become some kind of personal maid." You replied, placing a hand on your hip. "Get your own damn drinks." "Fine, I will." He cursed under his breath before pausing the game and throwing his controller onto the bed and storming out the room past you. "What's gotten into him?" You asked Michael. "No idea, we're not even playing a violent game, we're playing Fat Princess." He laughed, and you laughed along with him. "You want to play?" He asked, handing out Luke's controller to you. "Oh I'd better not, I don't fancy being killed by my brother today thanks." You smiled, not wanting to annoy Luke further. "Ok, well I'll make sure I'll talk to you before I leave. We haven't talked in ages." He said, and you were suddenly confused. "Michael, we never talk." You state. "True, which is why we should start." You nod slowly not fully understanding before leaving the room. What had gotten into Michael?

Calum: "You are not coming with us!" You brother stated for the 20th time. "But please! Mum I really want to see this film and all my friends have already seen it! Tell him I can go!" You pleaded. "Just take her will you dear, I'm sure Calum won't mind. You don't mind do you Calum?" You mum asked politely. "No, not at all." He smiled at your mum, and then you, making your insides melt and your head spin. "He's only saying that because he can't say anything else. You two are tearing this family apart!" Your brother shouted before storming out the front door and getting into his car. You and Calum shrugged and followed after him. Once you got to the cinema your brother offered to go and get the tickets, whilst you and Calum waited for him near the arcade games. "So where should we sit. It'll probably be pretty dead since everyone's already seen it." Calum said, and you just shrugged, not sure you would be able to form proper words in his presence. "What about the back row?" He suggested. "Ew no that's where everyone makes out and gets it on." You laughed, not sure that was appropriate with your brother here. "You saying you don't want to make out?" Calum joked, making kissy faces. "Yes! I mean no! I mean, yes I don't mind making out but I don't want to sit on the back row." You explain poorly. "You want to make out with me?" Calum asked, teasing you immensely now. "I'm sure half the school would love to take you up on that offer." You say, certain you would never get the chance to kiss Calum. "Are you in that half of the school?" He asked, and you weren't sure how to respond. "Oh look, you got the tickets! Good!" You chirped as your brother came back, glad you avoided answering. As you were walking to the screen Calum held you back for a moment, whispering in your ear. "I'm still waiting for that answer."

Luke: "Ok, I'll be back in a second." You brother rushed, running out the car and slamming the door behind him to go and fetch Ashton. Since you were one year older than your brother and had your drivers licence, you were practically his chauffeur. Luke was already in the car, sat in the passenger seat next to you, but you still had once more boy to pick up after this apparently. "So how've you been?" Luke asked, seeming rather nervous and playing with his hands quite a bit. "I'm good. How about you?" You asked, not sure where the idle small talk was coming from - he never usually bothered. "I'm alright I guess." He said, and you nodded, not sure how to respond. "You still going out with Dylan?" Luke asked, and you were taken aback. "Excuse me?" "I mean- sorry. Don't answer that." He apologised. "No, I'm not. Dickhead cheated on me." You answered after a couple of moments. "You don't have to say anything, I'm not looking for sympathy from my little brother's friends." You say, rolling your eyes. You'd had enough of boys. "I wasn't giving you sympathy, I was just wondering. Guy was a douchebag anyway." Luke mumbled the last part. "You got that right." Replying to Luke's last comment, and he hadn't realised you'd heard him. "You know he used to pretty much beat up your brother and I after soccer practice at school? We hadn't even done anything, he just hated us." "I know, he used deny it when I approached him about it, but I knew he had. I'm so sorry." You apologised on his behalf. "Not your fault. You know you're worth so much more than you think. You deserve so much better and you didn't even know it. There's a guy out there who knows exactly how to treat you." Luke said, and your heart swelled. Where was this coming from? "Thanks Luke." You smiled, even tearing up a little. "No problem, and you have to listen to me, I've known you for 15 years and I do care about you." He finished. "More than you know." He spoke under his breath, not realising you'd heard him - again.
