Blake's POV:

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson. Lovely almost morning, isn't it?" I asked jokingly, looking up at the mockingly upset couple. Liam was still laying on top of me, resembling a ripe tomato.

"Yes, it is, and we would appreciate it if our son was in bed on this lovely almost morning." Jerald teased back, causing his son to giggle and me to pout.

"I was just about to come inside, Papa." Liam responded as he stood up.

Although there was no way he could pick me up by himself, he still outstretched a hand for me to take. I laughed as I grabbed onto it, pulling him into my chest while standing up.

"I bid thee a good night." I said in a fake British accent before kissing his head quickly. After, I faced his parents and gave them a polite wave. "Good night, parents."

Angela laughed as Jerald shook his head, finding humor in my antics.

"Good night!" They all replied before Liam was inside and the door was closed softly.

I smiled as I headed back to my car, feeling like I was on Cloud 9. Nothing could ruin my mood as I drove home. The road was empty, considering that it was now after twelve in the morning, so I arrived at the apartment in no time. I quietly opened the door so that I wouldn't wake Dimi, thinking he was asleep.

"How'd the date go?" His voice sounded from right next to me in the kitchen, practically scaring me out of my skin. I cursed as I closed the door behind me, upset that he was just sitting in the dark.

"Why the fuck are you sitting in the dark, asshole?" I snapped, switching on the light to see that he was smiling brightly, no trace of fatigue on his face. Was he actually waiting up for me?

"I was waiting up for you, jerkoff." Dimi replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. I laughed as I shook my head, punching him hard in the arm. He growled lowly as he gripped his now hurting muscle, making me roll my eyes.

"You didn't have to scare me, butt-face."

"Butt-face? Really? How old are you?" He responded with a roll of his own eyes as he walked away from me and plopped down onto the couch. I followed suit.

"Fuck you!"

"You wish, dude." He said with a small chuckle. "Anyways, how was the date? Did you sweep the lamb off of his feet so that you can turn him into lamb chops later?"

Again, I punched Dimi's arm hard.

"Dude, that's sick. He's a shifter, not an ordinary animal."

"Cannibalism is a thing you know?"

I narrowed my eyes at him as he burst into a round of laughter. Catching my cautious expression made him laugh even more. I shook my head, questioning why I was even best friends with the weirdo.

"You know I'm just fucking with you, right? I really am interested in knowing how the date with the love of your life went." He finished teasingly. I raised my fist to punch him again, but he held up his hands in mock surrender. Sighing, I ran my fingers through my hair.

"It was great. I took him to the roller rink first and taught him how to skate. We ate and then I took him out to laser tag. Everything was going fine until I brought him to the ice-cream parlor where I forgot Zara worked." Her name was like acid on my tongue. I guess it was the same for Dimi because he was growling lowly beside me as I stared at the ceiling.
