Olivia sat on the opposite end of the couch looking at Cassidy. He stared at the beer in his hand with his feet propped up on the table. She had her feet tucked under her while she rested her stemless wine glass on her leg. They were waiting for the inevitable conversation that was coming. They weren't a good couple anymore. They used to stare at each other so in love and kiss in public, people would tell them to get a room. She couldn't believe that used to be them. He keeps saying that they are okay, but she doesn't wanna settle for good, not great. They missed how it felt back then and they want to feel that way again. "Remember the way we used to be? So in love. It was crazy." She said with a small laugh shaking her head before refilling her glass. Knowing she would need liquid courage for the day. "Yeah." Was all he said before taking a swig from the beer bottle. She laid her head on the back of the couch and continued. "Remember the airport dropping me off? We were kissing goodbye and we couldn't stop." She laughed once again clutching her glass tighter. "I felt bad because you missed your flight." He smirks turning to look at her. Meeting eyes the smiles slipped from their faces. "But that meant we had one more night." She whispers sipping her glass, looking down at the crimson liquid. He sighed and finished off his beer, setting it down on the living room table. "Been so long that you'd forget the way I used to kiss your neck." She reached over and grabbed his hand. They barely even slept in the same room anymore. One was always at work, or the other fell asleep on the couch. "Do you remember how it used to be? We'd turn out the lights and we didn't just sleep." Olivia said and Brian played with her fingers, rubbing where she once wore a ring. "All those things that you used to do
That made me fall in love with you." He said back meeting her sad dark brown eyes. "So on fire so in love. Way back when we couldn't get enough." He laughed at that thought and went to grab another beer front he fridge. He often was the only one drinking beer, so it was fully stocked in the bottom of the fridge. While she had her own wine cupboard. As he popped it open he felt her arms wrap around his waist. She stood on her tiptoes and whispered in his ear, "Remind me." He turned around in her arms to face her. He wrapped his arms around her as well. "Remind me, baby. Remind me." She leans up kissing him and he, surprisingly, kisses her back. He lifted her off the ground and carried her to their bedroom. He dropped her on the bed with a soft thud and she giggled. Olivia Benson, giggled. "I want to feel this way. I want to hold you close." He whispered while kissing her face gently. Her hands threaded through his hair and pulled him even closer. "Do you remember the way it felt? When we couldn't control ourselves?" She asked rolling him over to she was straddling his thighs. Soon, all words were lost as they made love to each other for the first time in a long time.

They next morning when they woke up, neither made the move to get up. They both anticipated things would go back to awkward, but it didn't. "Remember all the times you'd wake up in my old t-shirt? All the times I made you late for work?" He asked her running his fingers over her bareback. She propped herself up on her elbow, leaning in kissing him hard. "I love you, Brian Cassidy." He opened the nightstand and pulled out the velvet box with the ring she threw at him. "Will you do the honor of marrying me, Olivia Benson?" He asks opening it. She laughed and nodded. "Thank you for asking... again."
