Chapter 3. Welcome To The Jungle

Bucky~

Meredith was confused, scared, and worried about her well-being. I couldn't explain any of this to her. It was hard enough seeing her like a confused little puppy trying to find it's way back home.

"Alright, Avengers, Meredith, Audrey. To the jet." Tony said, ushering us out. Audrey grabbed Meredith's hand and showed her the way out. It was Audrey's time to take over, to assist her sister, she also knew it was difficult seeing her suffer.

We all got settled in the jet, Bruce and Tony were the piolets, leaving the rest of to make ourselves decently comfortable. Audrey sat next to Meredith and Peter. I sat across from her, along with Steve, and Thor by my sides.

Meredith had that distant look on her face. It was full of fear, she was unable to process what was happening. Her thoughts were lost somewhere, along with herself. "We should be landing in about a couple hours." Natasha said.

She made eye contact with me, and cocked her head back, telling me to come over where she was sitting. We sat at a booth, with a table separating us. "Look, I know what's going on. I understand you're frustration." "Do you?" she sat back, suprised at the comeback. "Do you? Because I'm pretty sure you're not the one who has to be forced to look at the person that mirrors the way you were 50 years ago."

She gulped down a sense of embarrassment. "I just wanted to-" "No, Nat. We're done talking about this." I got up, walking away from her. "What did Nat what?" Steve asked, I shook my head in response, "Nothing."

~ 3 hours later ~

Meredith~

The landing was bumpy. And I peeked out the window to see nothing but canopy tree, and green leaves. "Let's get going." Bruce started, "We need to be back by dawn. We have roughly 8 hours left of daylight." he said, making us all get out.

"Meredith you still doing alright?" Professor Fairfield asked, holding a GPS. I nodded, not really sure why he was so concerned. We started up a strange dirt path, seeing that it snakes around a mountain. I heard giggling from behind, turning around to see Audrey playfully shoving Peter.

We were about a half hour into the wall when my breathing became heavy. "Meredith" a taunting voice said. I collapsed to the ground, making everyone stumble over me. I grunted, a cried, the pain was unbearable. "What's happening?" I could hear Audrey scream, though her voice was muffled.

"NOBODY TOUCH HER!" I heard Fairfield shout. He made it sound like I was some kind of animal that has rabies.

Bucky~

I watched as she dug her nails in the ground while her skin went pale. Her hair changed color, and her eyes shot open. She wailed throughout the transformation. Her clothing swapping, making some of the gang look away.

She floated in the air, like some possessed person in one of those horror movies. Then suddenly collapsed to the ground. Causing us to cringe. "Meredith?" I said walking over to her. There it was, that same crazed laugh.

She stood up, eyes still closed, as she stretched. Thor had a tight grip on his hammer, Steve looking ready to through his shield as ever. Wanda's magic lit up at her finger tips. "Why hello everybody." she said smirking.

"You still know the deal, doll face." I said to her, "Oh course I do sweet cheeks" she said and kissed me. She pulled out the two pistols from her pockets. "Woah! Woah!" Tony said. "Put the guns down." Clint said, arrow aimed at her head.

She giggled, "I'm just gonna test them out, don't get your bow in a twist." She shot them both at the same time. We all ducked. "Okay, okay." I said pulling the guns down, "Games over. Let's go."

She skipped, making everyone jump once in a while when she got closer. "Hey you're pretty cute." she said to Peter, causing him to turn red. "You and this chick dating?" she asked pointing back and forth between Peter and Audrey.

"No! No!" they both said, waving their hands. "Are you kidding me?!" Audrey said. Meredith smiled, "Oh please" she said, and then whispered something in Audrey's ear that I could hear.

Professor's GPS buzzed uncontrollably. "We've arrived." he announced. I looked back at Meredith. She dropped her guns, "Uh." Tony stood by my side and whispered, "On my signal, Thor and Steve are gonna grab her arms. Wanda is gonna control her mind for as long as she can. If she runs, we've got back up." I knew he was talking about Pierto.

"And if anything get's really out of control. The big guy is here to help." I nodded, gulping down a sensation of relief. "Now!" he shouted, Thor and Steve ran around grabbed her arm. She kicked, struggling to get out of their grasp. She used all her strength to flip of them. She wrapped her legs around Thor making him let go, allowing a free hand to get a hold of a knife.

Peter shot a web at the hand that was about to stab Steve, until it attached to Thor's shoulder, close to hitting his neck. Wanda motioned her hands towards Meredith's head, causing her to yell. "STOP!" she growled.

"Keep going Wanda." Tony said. "NO SHE WON'T." Meredith screamed back. Her eyes flashed, causing Wanda to cry out, making her fall.

Clint aimed is bow once more. "You've got 5 seconds to get you're shit together, sweetheart." Tony snapped. She laughed, "Just remember," she started,

"You kill me, you kill her."
