Trying to speak out
Desperate to be heard
A voice struggles to be free
A will undeterred
Hidden in the shadows
Never saw the light
Passion locked away
Done so out of fright
Belittling oneself
Thinking others better
Listening to their opinions
Believing ours don't matter
Why put them on a pedestal
And label yourself as a bottom feeder
Why try so hard to be like them
When you can be someone even greater
