Chapter 13 - Looking into the Story

You had steady streams of tears rolling down your face. "HUMAN ARE YOU FEELING BETTER NOW?" He says. You look at him and nod your head slowly. You open your mouth to say something, but no words came out. You tried again, and the same thing happened.

"what's the matter kiddo?" He says. "cat got your tongue?" He looks at you, eyes (sockets) laced with worry.

"My throat... kinda hurts." You say, your voice barely loud enough to hear.

"HUMAN? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR VOICE?" Papyrus looks at you, his expression filled with worry too.

"kid, did you lose your voice?" He chuckles. "i don't blame ya because of all the excitement from earlier." He winks. You try to chuckle, but only have an attempt. That makes him chuckle again. You blush in embarrassment.

"Guys," You squeaked. "I'm kinda tired. Can I go to sleep?" You felt weird asking if you could go to sleep, but they didn't think much of it. Papyrus looks down at you since you were still in his grip.

"OF COURSE HUMAN! YOU PROBABLY HAD A TIRING DAY TODAY. WHAT DO YOU THINK, SANS?" You both turn your direction to him as he looks in shock.

"p-probably. i think we should all go to bed a little early because we've all had a tiring day." He mentions. "plus, it's getting late anyways."

You whimper as you thought how maybe Undyne would try to hunt you down. Sans noticed this and takes you from Papyrus. "don't worry kid, i'll protect you." He says you wave sleepily to Papyrus and he waves back slowly making his way to his own room.

"S-so you're not mad at me anymore?" You say shrinking into his chest.

"nah. not anymore. i realize how important you are to me, and being mad at you would push you away from me. from you being my friend. i don't want that to happen." He says, his blue, almost transparent, tears forming. You hug him while in his grasp - him becoming tense at your touch, but almost immediately snuggling to you as if to hug back. You snicker slightly, blushing at his action. You sigh in relief knowing he wasn't mad at you. He opens his door and walks into his room and turns on his light. He lets you down and you stretch and you breathe in deeply and exhale to relax. You grab your pajamas.

"do you wanna go to the bathroom to get changed?"

You smirk evilly. "Nah, I'll just get changed in here. But you gotta turn around~" You say as you tease him. His blush was so deep, his could probably light up his room. But he did turn around and you got into your pj's quickly.
"You can look now." You say. He turns around, but was reluctant to do so. You jump onto his bed and you lay there. He climbs into the bed and lays next to you. You then muster the courage to do something you wouldn't normally do.

You peck his check. He blushes really hard again. And since the light was off, it did light up the room. All you could do was give an airy laugh, do you did. "Goodnight Sans."
