Kari, after getting over the shock of her new room, follows Loki to the stables, where he decides the two of them can go horseback riding.

Loki takes out two horses. One is Spellvirki, and the other was a gorgeous white mare, with a grey star birthmark on her face.

Kari marvels at the beauty of the horse.

"What's her name?" Kari asks, approaching the horse slowly, as not to startle her.

    "Himmelsk." Loki says.

"Celestial." Kari translates, mindlessly stroking the mare's mane.

"Indeed. Would you like to learn to ride her?" The god asks his daughter.

Kari's eyes brighten, and she nods vigorously. "Yes please!" She responds.

Loki hoists Kari onto the horse, and ties Himmelsk's reigns to Spellvirki, so Loki can ride with Kari and not have her trying to control the horse until they reach their destination.

Side, by side, the two leave the stables, heading to a location Kari does not know about.

"Where are we going?" Kari asks.

"It is a surprise." Loki replies.

    "I don't like surprises."

    "Well, that is a shame."

"Come on, please tell me." Kari begs, trying a puppy dog face like some of the little ones at the orphanage would do.

Loki laughs at her futile attempts. "It is a nice try, Kari, but I will not give away a secret that easily." The Asgardian chuckles.

Kari, even though she is aware it is useless, still bugs Loki about the location. She, like him, is stubborn, and never gives up without a fight.

"For the last time, the destination is a surprise. Now please, stop your runaway mouth before I do. And I doubt you would enjoy being forced into silence." Loki threatens.

Kari figures this is probably a true threat by the tone of Loki's voice, but she continues regardless.

"Can you at least tell me how we have until we get there?" Kari interrogates.

"It is almost half an hour away as of now." The prince responds, pleased that his daughter knows to stop asking of their destination.

After about five minutes, the young teen gets bored. "Where are we going?" Kari asks, an uncontrollable smile on her face.

Loki whips his head to the side to glare at his daughter, who giggles at the intense look. "Do you wish to be silenced?" Loki questions.

    Kari shrugs.

"I'm curious as to see how you would do that. Some girls at a party I snuck into told me that once, and they ended up gagging me. I got out of it with magic easily, though. I got my revenge on the girls with some illusions, making them think their purses were turned to tarantulas. It was really funny watching them scream." Kari recalls the memory, laughing slightly.

"Yes, well that is some silly Midgardian posse that I am proud you got revenge on. However, I am no Midgardian. I can easily silence you without gagging you, and it will be a trap you cannot escape." Loki informs his daughter.

"If there's one thing I learned in New York, it's that there's always an escape." Kari retorts.

"In Midgard, I am sure that is true. But in Asgard, it is not. Trust me when I say this darling, not every problem has a solution. There are some things you must simply leave alone." The god of mischief says darkly, and Kari wonders what he has been through in Asgard to make him say that.
