A Dream

For all this gravity I fight,

My smile has died.

I live in a loop of emotion,

A future I cannot open,

A lack of will to hold it.

 For the beauty has rusted,

And time's gift is no option,

 My past to be frozen,

 And my future slowly stolen,

Cold, distant, what was once golden.

A sudden dream holds my hand,

time as an ocean, above fields of sand,

 To drown and despair,

 in the shadow of fear,

"have no fear" is all you can hear.

Can this scene be a dream?

 A nightmare it seems,

 and beyond the moonlit depth,

 Clasping insanity through breath,

I give in to my death.

A sudden dream holds my hand,

Caressed by ocean, on a world of sand,

 my eyes stare beyond me,

past the barriers and the walls,

across the pain and the falls,

to the freedom of it all.

 I can now see,

Letting go,

is the freedom I sought.
