Prologue: Going Back to Beach City

Dipper's POV:
I looked out the window and saw a sign, welcome to Beach City. I laid back and thought of why we were coming here. 3 weeks ago Mabel finally realized that wearing sweaters in California is a death sentence and took up a new hobby, cooking. Long story short, she burned the house down, our parents shipped us back up to Gravity Falls, of course So is couldn't support us that well so we made arrangements for me, Mabel, Soos, and Wendy stop stay down in beach city for a bit. Star and Marco were also coming down so it was sorta like a reunion, since we're all on break, we decided to stay in beach city for now.
"So, what do you wanna do when we get to Steven's place?" Mabel asked. "Probably sleep, we've been on this car ride for 13 hours and I'm tired." I replied. "I'm feeling just fine." She said. "That's cause 1, you slept for 7 of the 13 hours, and have eaten 19 raw sugar packets." I replied. "Fair points." The car then pulled into the drive near Steven's house. We walked up the porch to be greeted by Steven, Connie, Star and Marco, who had got there before us. "Hey guys!" Steven said. He had set up cots on the floor for us. "The gems will be back in about a week, there on a very important mission." He continued. "I organized the cots for who's is who's. I put yours close to Wendy and Mabel." She said whispering the last part in my ear. I then started blushing. "Connie." I said. "It was Steven's idea." "Don't blame me, I'm following Mabel's text." I then turn my gaze to Mabel who smiles at me. "Seriously, why man, why?" I ask. "BECAUSE I AM THE ULTIMATE MATCH MAKER?" Mabel screamed. "What are you guys even talking about?" Wendy asked. "NOTHING!!!" I said panicked. Anyway, we all then decided it was pretty late and went to sleep.
