Chapter 22: Educated Fighting

Star's POV:
It's been a few days since Tom joined the group. I've been trying to get stronger, to be able to protect Marco. I decided to spar with Dipper. "You sure you want this?" He asked. "Yeah, I need to get stronger, who knows what we'll have to fight." I said. "OK," he replied. I made a swing towards him. He swiftly evaded the attack, I went for another which he blocked. I swung at his chest as he summoned a second boomerang and slung me over his shoulder. I flew over him and into a wall. "What is up with me? Why can't I land a hit?"I yelled. "Star, calm down, it's OK." He said. "It's not OK, I have to be able to protect Marco, I can't loose him again." I said. "Look, your an excellent fighter, yet you don't have a strategic mind, I've been around you long enough to know your fighting style, and i can prepare for that." He said. "Well, can you teach me?"
(Time Skip)
We warped into an open area, an arena of sorts, Marco ran up the stands and sat down. Dipper looked to me. "Ok, to begin, Tom will be your opponent." Dipper said. "I hate life." Tom said. Dipper got frustrated "That's not we worked out." He said. "Fine, Do you wish to engage in combat." Tom said. "Much better." Dipper replied. "What's this for again?" Marco asked. "I'm teaching Star to use strategy in combat." Dipper said. "OK, everything begins with your stance..." Dipper said adjusting my stance to a fighting one. "Remember."
He then started singing.

And you would do it again.

He started blushing, noticing a mistake.

Marco's POV:
It's been a few days and the training looks to be going well. Dipper starts singing again while slowly sparring with Star.

Keep your
Stance wide
Keep your body lowered
And as your moving forward
Balance is the key
Right foot
Left foot
Now go even faster
And as your moving backwards
Keep your
Eyes on me.

Star then started singing as she spared with Tom.

S: Keep my
Stance wide
D: Good
S: Keep my body lowered.
D: Right.
S: And as I'm moving forward.
D: Concentrate, don't you want him to live.
S: Right foot, left foot.
D: Yes, put your whole body into it.
Everything you have.
Everything you are
You've got to give.

(Time Skip)
Dipper shows us a memory of him fight against Onyx with Wendy. He started singing again.

On the battlefield
Where everything is Chaos
And you have nothing but the way you feel
And your weapon at your command.
You think to the future and hope they'll understand.
And you do it for her.
That's how you know you can win.

Dipper changes his mistake once again.

I think the training is getting to intense. Dipper starts singing again.

Star and Dipper sang kneeling.

Star was training against stronger enemies, clones Dipper had made of light. One struck at Star who was unable to block in time. "Marco, stop it, I have to do this alone" "No, Star, this isn't right." I said. "What?" She asked. "Your important, Mewni can't loose you." I said. "I can't loose you." Star said. "Look, I know times can be rough, but we have each other." I said. "We're a team." I said. Star started tearing up. "Always." She said embracing me. We then were consumed by a bright light.
Starco's POV:
I quickly jumped to my feet and struck down the Dipper clone. I jumped and dodged another blow. "That's a lot easier." I said. I then smirked. "That's the plan." Clearly Marco in there. We came to the final battle. Dipper. "What are you doing?" Dipper asked. "If we fight, we fight together." I said. We charged Dipper. We ran at him as he swiftly dodged the attack. I then tripped and unfused.
Marco's POV:
I fell to the ground, and looked up to see Dipper. "You shouldn't be anywhere near the fight." He said. "Why not, me and Star, we're a Team, we fight together." I replied. "WHY WON'T YOU JUST LET ME DO THIS FOR YOU WENDY?!?!?" Dipper screamed. He then looked down. "I mean, why won't you let Star do this for you..... Marco?" Dipper said falling to his knees. "I'm... sorry, I just saw so much of myself in Star, I didn't want her to lose someone close to her, like I did. But I see now, your bond, is so strong, I see now.... she won't loose you any time soon." He said. We walked up to Dipper. Star asked. "Did Wendy..... make you feel.... like you were nothing?" Dipper chuckled. "Wendy, made me feel.... like I was everything." He replied. "I'm sorry... about everything." I said. "It's fine..... I'm......" he paused. "Good." He said. "Good."

Well, I did another SU song, and I made feels, you thought the Dipper arc was over but nope, Feels Nuke in your face. Anyway, I'll try to update again soon. Bye.
