Fear visited the girl several more times as she grew older. She didn't stand out to him, however.He'd been doing this job for a long time. A large part of his day was spent visiting those he'd visited before. Anxiety crept in, he showed up.
Simple as that.
The day the girl forced him to take notice of her was grey and foggy. Visibility was bad. He had no problem with it, of course, but a lot of the humans did. He passed by several people afraid of going out and driving in the mist.
The day was damp and chilly, adding to its dimness and overall sense of melancholy.
Fear liked these sorts of days. He felt as though they suited him.
He was soon to learn that they suited her too.
