A week later.

"Mama, I want to go for Sarah's sleepover... Pleaseeeeeee." Kimberly said, pouting her lips.
"But honey, you just met Sarah. What if you don't like her as much a you think you do?"
"She's my 'besfren'! I love her."

How could I say no to those beautiful golden brown eyes.

"Fineee, Ronald will take you.. But know this... I'll be coming for you first thing tomorrow morning. Okay?"
"Yes mommy."
"Okay then, let's go get you packed for Sarah's."

We were done packing in less than 15 minutes. After which Kim placed a kiss on both my cheeks and run outside to leave with Ronald.
I heard my doorbell ring minutes later.

"Kim, did you leave something?" I asked as I opened the door.

It wasn't Kim.
It was Eric.

"Good morning, Stacey." He greeted, looking much calmer.
"Oh uh.. Good morning." I stuttered.
"May I come in?"
"Yeah... Sure."

I stepped aside for him to enter. After which I lead him to the living room.

"Nice house, Stacey. It's so... you."
"So me?"
He nodded. "It's Beautiful."
"Thanks."

I could feel my cheeks getting warmer. "Please sit." I said politely.
"Thank you."
I let out a fake cough. "Sooo, I'm guessing you came so we could talk about Kimberly?"
"Yes. I want to be in her life. I want her to know that I'm her father, not that bastard you're getting married to. She is to call only me daddy... No one else." He said in a very serious tone.
"I... I understand. But she's not here at the moment. She's sleeping over at a friend's."
"A girl, I presume?" He asked, raising his brow.
I chuckled. "Yes, of course."
"Good."

Silence.

"I believe you owe me an apology." He said, finally shattering the silence.
"What are you talking about?"
"You hid the fact that I had a daughter from me."
"I had my reasons."
"Stacey, just because we were having problems didn't mean you had to hide something as important as this." He snapped.
"Just because you were having emotional problems didn't mean you had to rape me." I hurled back.
"How many times must I say I'm sorry?" He asked, as he got up from his seat and walked towards me.
"No amount of 'I'm sorry' is ever going to make me forgive or forget what you did to me. You ruined me, Eric."

You ruined us.

"I know I ruined us.."

Great, I said it out loud.

"... You have no idea how much I regret what I did. I love you, Stacey." He continued.
"I don't love you. I hate you... Maybe you should go." I looked up at him and saw tears in his eyes.
"You h-hate me?"
"Very much, Eric." I answered and quickly looked away.
"I'm leaving then. Please call me tomorrow so we talk to Kim together." He said softly and gave me his business card.
"Okay."

With that, he walked out of the living room and headed for the door.
Once I heard my door close behind him, the tears I fought so hard to hold back begun to ran down my face.
My doorbell rung 2 minutes later. I quickly wiped my tears and run to answer it.

"Oh hey Derri-"
"What the hell did that man want this time?" He yelled.
"Woah.. Calm down. Let me explain."

He pushed me aside and entered my house. He closed the door behind him before painfully grabbing my elbow.

"Ouch.. You're hurting me Derrick. Let me go."
"You are my wife, woman. I don't want to see any man coming here again. Are we clear?" He roared.
I finally managed to get out of his grip. "Listen here 'genius'. We are not married. You can't tell me what to do. And don't you ever raise your voice at me ever again. Do that again and our wedding is off, jerk!" I countered.
"Don't you dare, Stacey. You don't know what I'm capable of. You will learn respect." He said in a dangerously low voice before walking towards me.
"That's it. The wedding is off. Get the fuck out of my house, you fucking retard. I never ever want to see you again. And don't you even think of going near Kimberly else I will kill you." I replied furiously and threw his ring at him.

Who does he think he is?

"What the fuck did you just call me?" He asked, his face red as ever.
"You heard me, dumbo. Now get the hell out before I call the cops!"

He gripped my elbow again and raised a hand in the air.

Oh God.. He's going to hit me...
