A week had passed and after lauren and I made love a few nights before like clockwork she was gone once again. I decided to stay at the beach house for a little while longer to collect my thoughts and to see if lauren would come back but she never did. I sat in the kitchen having a beer as I stared out into the ocean the waves seemed to hypnotize me there was a knock at the door that startled me I furrowed my brow as I walked to the door to answer it my beach house was far from anyone and I wasn't expecting anyone until I opened the door.
"Where have you been?" I asked Lauren as she walked past me
"I was away" she replied
"Yeah no shit you were" I said
I glanced down and noticed bags in Laurens hands and furrowed my brows again..
"What's that?" I asked curiously
"Food I wanna cook for you tonight"
"What's gotten into you your usually disappear and now you're sticking around?" I asked
"What's gotten into me? Are you really asking me that question?" Lauren asked her face was serious yet comical it made me turn a bright shade of red
"Wow an Angel that cooks" I said with a smirk as I attempted to go off topic.
At that moment lauren turned to me a serious look on her face
" y/n I'm not an Angel" she replied her eyes burning into mine
"I'm not an Angel and I'm not a Demon" she added

Evening came quickly and I sat on a bar stool in the kitchen watching lauren cook the fact that she had told me earlier that she wasn't an Angel or a Demon stuck in my mind what was she? I thought to myself
Lauren turned to me "you forget I can read your mind y/n" she said setting a spoon down as she walked up to me my heart raced
"lauren I just wanna know what you are don't I have that right? I asked a bit hesitantly
"Yes, yes you do have that right and tonight I m going to tell you although once I have told you you will wish that you had never known" she said as she turned back to her cooking.
