Who's to judge? (Nick x judy fanfic)

Stay strong

It had already been a week since nicks departure and well Judy was beginning to feel really lonely. Sure she had Owen for company but it was nothing like when she was with nick. But Judy had to stay strong

"H..hey Judy?" Owen asked as he stepped into her office. Judy noticed he was always nervous, clawhauser told her that he was always like that and that he was just shy

"Oh Owen! Is there something I can help you with?" Judy said turning her head away from her computer screen

"well, I.. I was just wondering if you had anything planned a.. After work" he said

Was he asking Judy out on a date?

"Nope, did you have anything in mind?" Judy said trying to be polite

"Did you want to maybe hang out? At my place or s.. Something.. I don't know n..nevermind I.. I'll just leave" Owen said looking downwards, he was about to leave until he heard Judy

"I'd love to!" Judy didn't really want to go. But Owen was just so shy and it was adorable. He was sweet, and incredibly nice.

"O... Oh!? I just thought.. Um yeah I'll come when your shifts done and ill you'll see me, I mean I'll see you" Owen quickly left the room with his paws smashed against his skull he seemed to be mumbling something but Judy couldn't make out the words

Her shift was about to end, and she noticed she hadn't had called nick at all since he had left and began dialling his number straight away. She lifted her phone to her ear and waited for a response "cmon you dumb fox hurry up and pick up" she thought.

"Hey you've reached wildes number, I'm sorry I couldn't reach your call I'll get back to you as soon as I can... Not"

Judy giggled abit at the sound of his voice but in the end let out a sigh. She threw her phone onto the desk and laid backwards. The bright glow of the computer screen lit up the dark room but barley. She jumped as she heard her office door open only to reveal Owen

"Did i scare you? I.. I'm sorry I guess I should've knocked" Owen frantically said as he was entering

"It's fine" Judy replied letting out a deep breathe

"S..so you wanna go?" He said breaking the awkward silence between them. He fiddled with his paws, not Making eye contact with Judy. He didn't make eye contact with many animals in fact especially Bogo. She noticed one time when she saw him in the Chiefs office he constantly would either look at the ground or an object.

"Of course! I'll just pack a few things and then we can go. Oh and I need to get something at my apartment so could we go there please?" Judy said

"Yeah sure!" Owen said. He had a little enthusiasm in his voice

"I'm ready" Judy said as she was leaving her bedroom. She was wearing some skinny jeans and a tight purple shirt that brought out her curvy figure perfectly

"W..wow you look wow" Owen said who trembled in his words. Judy had invited him in until She had got changed

"Thank you owey!" Judy said. She liked the new nickname she gave Owen.

"Owey?" He said with a puzzled look

"It's what I'll be calling you now it's like your new nickname!"
