"Go back; return."

Voices issued from the trees,
echoing with my every step.

They all ordered my return,
but my return to...

what?

Unaware of the change of view,
I paced forward, entering a white
desert.

Hypnotized,
I walked under its enchantment.

"Find me at the end of the tunnel."

The same voice I've heard before
played in my head; I looked around,
searching for its owner, hoping the face
I'd see remained the same.

But there was nothing there to signal
the presence of another.

Not a single trace in the snow.

Nothing.

"Come."

The white butterfly
vanished in the air.

"I'm waiting for you."
