My time table said my shift for word duty if in five minutes. I turned on  my phone and saw a text.

Sister: truth or dare Christian

Chrissy: truth

Sister: did you miss rose when she was gone?

Chrissy: lis  you promised

Sister: come on Christian I had to answer things from when she and I were together from that Russian warlord now its your turn

Sister: come on just answer

Chrissy: fine rose is like a little sister to me I felt like there was a missing piece like our family was falling apart this better not get back to rose

Chrissy: tell us the weirdest thing to happen to you caused by my aunt all day

Dimi: tasha and I were making out and I didn't remember her walking in only that I wanted to you know...... Then I think somebody saw us and ran away

I put my phone in my pants and went off on my guard duty I  pulled out my phone and texted Lissa

Me: could you pick up kids I got guard duty for the wards

Liss: sure my kids are your kids bff & tutors any way

Me: cool thanks ask Mason about PARC to day

Liss: why?

Me: he beat Dimitri and Eddie knocked out alto w/ one punch.
Keep the warlord away from my kids there scared of him

I put my phone away and signed in my partner was late. I wish I knew who it was. Then I decided to play a game with my friends so I start a group chat.

Me: never have I ever.......

Chrissy: broke a girls heart

Me: never have I ever been late to a ward shift

Me: guardian belikov is my ward shift partner and is late but its masons fault

Me: sparing match.......bloody nose......infermery need I say more?

I turned off my phone and plated the silent game the rest of the night

I was late to my ward shift fucking Ashford. Me being late will probably get me in rozas bad books not that I'm not already, but this will only make it worse.

10 minutes later

I'm at the out post rose is standing there looking out onto the campus. I reached for my stake and that's when I realize my mistake. I forgot my stake. 

I asked, "do you have a spare stake?"

She faces me pulling two stakes from her back holster and tossing them at me. She walks off her back is facing me I see she has two stakes left in her holster. I had to run to catch up to her.

I asked,"how have you been rose?"

She shrugs the question off. That makes my heart sink. The fact she can't even hold up a conversation with me. The fact she told Ashford how to beat me makes me see how far our friendship has fallen how fast our relationship has slipped and broke

I asked, " who is your children's father?

She turned and looked at me relief and stress showing in her eyes before her guardian mask was put on it looked really strong she spoke polite but acted like a robot.

She replied, " look guardian belikov. I hate to burst your Bubble but I can't be your friend and I can't seem to find a reason my kids would be any of your business. We use to be friendly but the last time I did that I got too close and two people I cared about the most in the world hurt me now there are kids and I can't let them get hurt and yeah"

I replied," whose the other person that hurt you?"

She said,"Lissa"

I'm in roses house her kids and mine have become good friends. There like we were when we were young my son Nathan and Irena seam to like each other very much Nathan keeps staring at Irena and the way Irena is trying to focus on what Rosie is saying instead of looking at the dreamy look on my sons face. Declan is completely lost for words because his brother looks frozen in time with a goofy look on his face.

My phone rings

Me: hello?

Victor: queen Lissa I don't have much time but I have something important to tell you

me: why should I trust you Victor?

Victor: because its about rose and she could die

Me: fine speak

Victor: rose is going to go through a transformation

Me: what transformation

Victor: she will be the first kopic since Anna read about them rose will need her bond mate it will be vital to her survival whatever happens you cannot heal her. If she doesn't rise the following fort night then heal her.

With that the line went dead and I called Alberta.

Ten minutes later

Alberta shows up and I tell her everything victor told me about rose bring kopic.

Alberta replied, "I knew rose was special but I never new how special what do we do your Majesty."

She replied, " we need rose to be taken off the roster for guard and ward duty at night time but give her supervision classes or guest speaking during classes"

Alberta nodded and left

Two Hours Later
My shift just ended and I am on my way home.

I hear Dimitri yelling, "ROZA, ROZA WAIT UP"

I kept walking away until he cut me off. He handed me my stakes.

He said,"thankyou for lending them to me "

I still had my mask on I replied," one of us has to practical and responsible but I'd never figure it'd be me"

He replied, "me too"

With that we resumed walking.
