Chapter 17

Kira POV

As I was walking in the woods waiting for my dad to catch up to me.
"Wow getting a little slow in your old age aren't you pops?"
"Hey! I could run laps around you."
"Oh, really?" I said in a challenging tone.
"Don't test me little girl."
"Don't call me little."
"Ok, how about we make a deal. If you win I will let you and lj go wherever you two want to go for a whole month. I won't interfere."
"And if you win?"
"I get to eat your ice cream."
"Really,dad? That's all you want that's childish."
"What can I say I'm a man of simple desire. So do we have a deal, Kira?" He asked.
"Deal."
"Ok, so when do we start."
"NOW." He said as he ran off.
"That's cheating!"
"I never said I would play fair."
As I took off running after him I almost caught up to him when I heard a strange voice.
"Kira"
"Huh?"
"Kira"
"Who's there?"
"Come to me, Kira"
"Where are you?"
"I'm at the lake. Come to me"
I'm not sure what happened but I listen the the stranger. Even though I didn't know who was talking to me the voice sounded so kind and sweet, just like honey. I found the lake that the voice talked about but I was not prepared for who I saw.
"Hello, Kira"
"Mom?"
