Part 22: A new Beginning

Setting: At home

- One Year Later -

"I'm gonna miss you so much." my mom said pulling me into a hug.

I was leaving for college in a week and I started packing early.

"Mom I'm not leaving today!" I said pulling away from the hug and sitting down on my bed.

"I know but I'm gonna remind how much I love you till you leave." she said sitting down on the other side of me.

Lia ran over to me and jumped in my arms.

"Will you be gone forever?" she asked playing with her doll in her hand.

"No I won't be gone forever. I will be home every holidays and some breaks." I said kissing her forehead.

She smiled. "Ok." she said.

We heard a knock at the door downstairs.

"I'll go get it." my mom said getting up and going downstairs to the door.

"Can we go get ice cream?" Lia asked looking up at me.

"Sure Lia." I said.

"I'm gonna go get ready." she said hopping out of my arms and running towards her room.

Diggy then walked into my room.

"Hey beautiful." he said coming towards me.

"Hey Diggy." I said standing up and hugging him.

He pulled back and kissed me.

"Are you ready for California State University?" he asked.

Yes we are going to California because I thought it was the best college. We are now in Georgia.

"Yes I am. I'm gonna miss my mom and Lia." I said sitting back down on my bed.

"I'm gonna miss my family too." he said sitting down next to me.

Lia ran into the room wearing a summer dress with some flats. Her hair was up in a bun.

"I'm ready!" she said.

"I'm gonna take Lia to get some ice cream do you wanna come?" I asked Diggy.

"Yes. Can we pick up Miley?" he asked.

"Sure." I said.

I grabbed my purse and picked up Lia and then we headed towards Diggy's house.

"Miley!" Diggy yelled once we got into the house.

He didn't hear Miley so he decided to go look for her.

"Wait in the living room." he said.

I nodded my head and Lia and I walked into the living room and sat on the sofa.

Justine walked into the room.

"Hello Mrs.Simmons." I said.

"Hello Myricle. Just call me Justine." she said.

I nodded my head.

"Are you ready for college?" she asked.

"Yes I am. I'm excited to go to California but I'm sad that I have to leave my family." I said.

She nodded. "I'm gonna miss you and Diggy." she said sitting beside me on the sofa and wrapping her arms around me.

"We're gonna miss you too." I said to her.

"When your in California can you keep a eye on Diggy." she said.

"Yes I will." I said.

Diggy walked into the room with Miley in his arms.

Miley jumped out of Diggy's arms and ran over to Lia.

"Are y'all ready to go." Diggy said.

"Yes!" we all said.
