The next day was pretty boring. I couldn't stop thinking about mine and Robbie's kiss, he hasn't said anything about it since then.
"Wanna play Mario Kart?" I asked out of boredom.
"Yes, you're going down" he replied excitedly and I got up to turn the game on.
I picked my character and he groaned.
"Pick your character Robbie!"
"You picked the one I wanted!" he replied.
"I picked peach!"
"I wanted her she's fabulous!" he said in a girly voice.
I laughed and replied,"Pick daisy! she's fabulous too!"
"No, have you seen her hair?" he said, still talking in a girly voice
"Just pick one!"
We both laughed and then he picked Mario.
Since I had the 1st controller I got to pick the course.
I was about to pick Coconut Mall when he screamed,"NO"
"What?!"
"I don't like that one, I suck" he replied
"Are you sure it's because it's not fabulous enough?"
"Shut up Rachel, pick Yoshi Falls"
"No that one's lame" I groaned
"Pick it"
"No"
"Pick it!"
"No!"
"Pick it BETCH" he said, bringing back his girly voice.
"Fine!" I laughed and picked that course.
3..2..1.. GO!
I took off in the beginning and Robbie spun out.
"Rachel!"
"You're fault!"
I was in first place and he had caught up and was in 4th.
"Yo Rachel, I got something for ya"
"DON'T" I replied but he sent it anyways.
It was a blue shell and there was no escaping those things.
"I hate you!" I said and he laughed evilly when he passed me.
He was now in first and I was in second, it was the last round and I was so close to passing him but he beat me by a hair.
"YES!" he yelled and jumped up.
I glared at him and said,"I would've won if you didn't send that blue shell"
"But you didn't, you lost!" he laughed and pointed his finger at me.
"Shut up" I said rolling my eyes
"Don't get so upset Rachel, maybe next time" he replied with a big grin on his face.
"There are no friendships when it comes to Mario kart" I laughed and got up, walking to the kitchen.
Robbie followed me and looked through my fridge.
"I'm hungry, fix me food" I said while climbing up to sit on the counter.
Robbie got some frozen cheese sticks out from the freezer.
"You know, after the snow melts, um.. we should go get a real meal.. together or something" he said while placing the cheese sticks on a pan and pre-heating the oven.
"Like.. a date?" I asked and he put the cheese sticks in the oven.
"Yeah.. If you want to" he replied, rubbing the back of his neck.
This is the first time I've seen him act awkward.
I was still sitting on top of the counter and he was standing beside me, I started fiddling with my fingers and said,"Yeah, I'd love too"
He smiled and kissed my cheek.
"I still don't forgive you for beating me at Mario Kart though" I said while laughing.
He laughed, leaned in closer and kissed my lips.
"Am I forgiven now?"
"Hmmm, maybe" I replied
