Stuck in an hourglass,
On a deadline,
On a time limit,
Always waiting,
Never living,
At your own pace,
Before you know it,
There are no more days.
In your years of waiting,
Or working,
For one moment.
You see those one moments were all you had.
So you were stuck in an hourglass.
You were too busy watching time tick by,
To live a life.
Instead all you had,
Was a lot of waiting,
Or a lot of work,
Without a moment you made yourself.
I'd hate to be so caught up,
In tomorrow,
I forget to have today.
Because tomorrow never comes.
We don't have time,
Or a someday,
But we do have today.
So seize the day.
Don't be too busy wasting it,
To let time take it away.
