Chapter Eleven

Chapter Eleven 

I look out of my dorm's window and see snow falling which makes me smile. We're heading home for the holidays today. This is the first time in 4 years that Zay is spending Christmas time with his family in Texas and I'm really sad to say goodbye to him. We're going to be off for about 2-3 weeks. 

I walk back to my bed. Isadora was mumbling Christmas songs which makes Riley and I smile and look at her. I say, "Smack, what happened to not enjoying Christmas."

She looks at me for a while, "Doesn't mean that Christmas songs aren't catchy."

Riley giggles, "Touche, Smackle, Touche."

I smile and shake my head. I finish packing up, I couldn't do it this morning because I was at the Art Museum for my Internship. I put on my coat over my black high waisted jeans and my white long-sleeve shirt. I put on my gray beanie over my curled hair. I grab my luggage. I look at Smackle and Riley, "Wait, who's taking us home?"

Smackle looks up from her phone, "Farkle says his father is picking us up."

I nod and smirk, "So, that means that the boys are going to help us with our luggage?"

Smackle nods and Riley laughs, "Sometimes I feel like you use them for their manliest."

I point at her, "That is very true." There was a knock on the door and I look up, "Who is it?"

I hear Lucas behind the door, "The bellhop."

I laugh and open the door and he smiles and shakes his head at my amusement. Zay and Farkle follow behind him. They help us with our bags and I wrap my arm with Smackle as we follow behind them. 

Farkle's dad, Stuart Minkus, parks the car in front of us. Lucas and Farkle start putting our luggage in the trunk. I'm hugging Zay from the side. I pout, "I don't want you to go."

He kisses the top of my head, "I know, Maya. But, I have to go."

I look up at him, "I can't believe you're going to let me become the fifth wheel. Because you know that they're going to do coupley shit like go ice skating."

Riley looks at Smackle, "That's such a good idea."

I groan and Zay laughs, "Well, if they do you can always go with Auggie."

I glare at him which makes him laugh harder. He grabs me into a hug, "I'm going to miss you so much."

I say, "I hate you."

He laughs, "No you don't."

I hug him back and roll my eyes playfully. The rest of them say goodbye to Zay. He's going to head to the airport in about 2 hours. 

Minkus drops me off at my apartment and I thank him. Farkle helps with my bag out of the car. I hug him, "See you later?"

He smiles and nods, "We're probably going to hang out at Matthews tonight."

I nod and take my luggage from him, "Then, I'll see you there."

I unlock the door of my apartment and put my luggage on the floor before locking the door. "I'm home!" 

Shawn walks into the living room with a smile and hugs him, "Hey love."

I smile and hug him back, "Hey, Shawn." He lets go off the hug and I look up at him, "Where's my mom?"

"She worked an extra shift today."
