Chapter Four

Aye, aye, Captain!

I pondered over what his lips would have felt like. Possibly soft and moist? Maybe warm, too? Needless to say, my lips are a virgin, as is the rest of me.

Once more, memories of his fart rushed through my mind. Yep, I will not allow him to kiss me, at least not until he gets his bowels checked.

Do you want to make a bet? My subconsciousness whispered. I bet you will kiss him.

I scoffed. Never, ever.

"Wow, this place is huge," Ava said, pulling me from my thoughts.

"I know I am," Xavier smirked at me. "Ladies don't pretend like-"

"We already have established your willy is tiny," I told him, earning a chuckle from the sisters. Pushing myself off the ground, I picked up my mother's staff. For some reason, I found myself looking at Xaviers' crotch. The heck is wrong with me? Quickly glancing elsewhere, I changed the subject. "The Orcs cannot follow us in here."

I ask again. What is wrong with me? This man is a perverted asshole, yet, I find myself attracted to him.

An unusual feeling washed over me. I felt the colour drain from my cheeks.

"Which way?" Kaylin questioned, placing her bow into its holder on her back. She stared at me. "Ivory? Are you—"

"Nnnggt?" Was that my voice? Why did it sound that way? "I-erm-I-nnnggt?" Darkness began creeping into the corners of my vision. I touched my side and looked down. Blood covered my fingertips. "Curse you!" I scowled at the bloodied fingers. "No one asked you to bleed, so stop!"

"Um, Ivory? You do realise your fingers don't contain ears, right?"

I have no idea who said that. Maybe it was the blood speaking to me. Darkness crept closer, and I shooed it away. "Sod off, would you?"

My body started tiling backwards; however, two arms wrapped around my waist, preventing me from falling. "Ava, get over here, now!" Xavier yelled.

"You have nice eyes," I blurted out. "They look icy cold but can melt a heart." I chuckled at myself as Ava approached me.

Okay, I have lost brain cells.

Does anyone know how you recover brain cells?

No? Thanks anyway.

I laughed as the half-elf knelt before me.

Ava gently placed her hand on my side. "The spell didn't hold," she said, whispering lowly. "I'll try it again to stop the bleeding. But I think the smoke bomb might've affected her."

Darkness took me, and everything faded into nothingness.

*-*

"My head," I groaned, massaging my aching temples. "Why the hell does it feel like someone punched me?"

"Ah, she's awake, Captain,"

"Shut the fuck up, would you? Your voice hurts." I said grumbly, peeling one eyelid open, discovering we were no longer in the castle but in the woods.

From Xavier beside me came a choking noise. I am confident it was a laugh; however, it sounded like something was dying a horrible death six meters beneath a body of water. Of course, this made both my eyelids open.
