“You smile a lot” I said as I smiled adoringly at the blonde sitting opposite me taking small sips from her drink.

“Use your smile to change the world, don’t let the world change your smile” she said beaming at me. She was a happy go lucky girl. She reminds me of Niall, the lad never stops laughing or smiling. I had my bad days, but this girl, since I met her I haven’t seen her frown even once. I wonder if it hurt her to smile that much.

“That’s a nice quote” I complimented, “So Autumn, got any siblings?” I didn’t ask her any private questions until now. I want to know more about her, but we were caught up laughing at lame knock knock jokes that I made.

“Nope, an only child” she looked away scanning the area avoiding my gaze then looking back at me, “You?”

“An older sister!”

“Must be nice to have a sibling yeah?” she asked looking down at the table busy with her drink.

“She can be a pain in the arse sometimes, but we’re quite close” I said rubbing my wet hands on my jeans covered thighs.

“That’s nice” she commented.

“Your mum and dad?” I asked nosily.

“HARRY” a familiar voice was heard over the empty place, Autumn and I both looked up searching for the voice, and soon found the blonde sitting with a brunette at a distant table waving. Chuckling, I waved back at him.

“That’s one of the boys that were sitting on the benches acting silly yeah?” she asked scrunching her eyebrows together in concentration.

“Yup, the only and only Niall Horan”

“I would like to meet him, let’s go?” she got up grabbing her drink waiting for me as we walked over to Niall and the brunette.

I couldn’t help but keep smiling every time she spoke, smiled, or giggled. She was indeed a one of a kind. I liked Jackie as well. She seemed like a nice girl, but way too shy. She shook a little when I shook her hand.

She was beautiful, but somehow, my eyes were fixated on only Autumn. It seemed odd that in such a short span of time I have already observed many behaviors of hers. First of all, she damn smiles like there’s no tomorrow. She has a cute laugh, and scrunches her nose when she laughs. Her blonde hair would keep falling from the front on her face, and it annoyed her immensely as she kept pushing it backwards. She clicked her tongue a lot when she was thinking of an answer to one of my curious questions. And she was one fit girl. All the dirty thoughts I had a while ago, seemed to disappear the more I knew her. I just seemed to not want her physically anymore – a part of me of course did – but most of what I thought about was her. Her personality and her thoughts on different subjects.

I’m going soft on this girl very fast. I thought Niall would be the one to have that behavior – falling for girls fast. Not me, Harry Styles. I am careful about such matters; I had to know a girl five years before even thinking about falling for her.

But Autumn changed my mind, the minute I caught her stretching her body.

“Come on Jackie, stop being so shy” Autumn said tugging on Jackie’s arm, “You’re so quiet, I feel odd being the only one talking” she pouted.

Jackie giggled in response her cheeks flushing red, “Sorry” she mumbled.

The four of us were already making our way over to the benches where the rest of the boys have been seated. We grabbed Jackie’s bags on the way, because we seemed to know we were going to spend quite the time together.

“So where you headed at?” Autumn asked Jackie curiously, as she linked her arm with mine, to my fortune of course. Jackie glanced at our linked arms and I guessed she hoped she had the guts to hold on to Niall’s and Niall did not make any move to hold hers.

“Um, Paris actually, for holiday” she replied, “My parents are there, so I’m visiting for a week” she crossed her arms against her chest, “You?”

“Oh that’s grand” Autumn said, “Germany, playing soccer”

“Seriously?” Jackie asked shocked, “That’s so cool” she grinned, “Wish you all the best. Maybe you can teach me sometime yeah? I love soccer, but I can never play it”

Niall and I chuckled, as Autumn giggled and hugged Jackie close to her, “I would love to teach you. And yay, you’re talking to me”

“I like you” Jackie said.

“I like you too” Autumn winked at her.

I couldn’t help but feel proud of Autumn for breaking Jackie’s shell. Niall and I were whispering behind the girls talking about how Jackie was so shy, as Niall explained to me his attempts of breaking her shell. And the fact that she talked to Autumn so openly made Niall and I both happy.

That’s what Jackie needed, an ice breaker. And Autumn was one hell of an ice breaker.
