Chapter 6: "shhhh it's going to be alright"

Summer's POV

ok, I saw the way Tomika was with Freddy before she walked into the hospital and I swear I saw her look at me. Wait, Hospital, why are they walking into the hospital.

Summer: Guys, why are Freddy and Tomika walking into the hospital

Zack: I don't know, do you think one of them is ill?

Summer: neither of them seem ill though.

Lawrence: come on guys lets go and have a look.

All but Lawrence: Yeah ok.

when we walked into the hospital we saw Freddy and Tomika in the waiting room and Tomika was on Freddy's lap asleep.

Summer (whisper yells): Freddy why is Tomika sleep on your lap and why are you in the hospital with her

Freddy (whispers): she got worked up about something and this helps her calm down

Zack (whispers): how often do you guys do this

Freddy(whispers): just whenever she needs me, ok?

Summer (whispers): Freddy are you and Tomika dating

Freddy (whispers): no she's like a little sister to me, so I care for her

Lawrence: Freddy is that the truth

Freddy: Lawrence shush, you'll wake her

Tomika's POV

I thought I could hear Lawrence and Freddy talking so I knew I was asleep, so I open my eyes to find that I am on Freddy's lap and I can see that the others were here. I really hope they don't find out about why we are here

Summer: Freddy, Tomika what are you guys doing here?

Tomika: we could ask you the same question.

Summer: just answer the question.

Tomika: (nervous) erm, that none of your business Summer.

Doctor Martin: Miss Young, your test results have come back.

Tomika: and?

Doctor Martin: your lung is getting better, but it is still at risk of collapsing. Tomika you need to take it easy for the next couple of months.

Freddy: thanks Doc.

oh no, the others heard what doc said, and I could tell that the others were confused. I then get off of Freddy's lap and sit on the chair next to him and I place my head onto his shoulder and start crying

Freddy: hey Tomika look at me

I then take my head off of Freddy's shoulder and look at him

Freddy: shhhh it's going to be alright

I then place my forehead against Freddy's and Summer speaks up

Summer: what was that about Tomix

Freddy: it's nothing.

Summer: no, I want Tomika to answer.

Tomika: I can't tell you Summer, I'm sorry.

Summer: some best friend you are.

Tomika: (feels bad) Summer wait. (whispers to Freddy) Fre it's time we told them

Freddy: (whispering) are you sure T?

Tomika: (nods her head)

Freddy: ok

Tomika: Summer the reason we are here is that, I have grade A lung cancer.

Summer: Tomika, please tell me your joking?

Tomika: I wish I was, but I'm not.

Zack: so you have an illness and your just telling us now.

Lawrence: how long have you had lung cancer?

Tomika: ever since I was born

Lawrence: really?

Tomika: yeah

Summer: wait, how long has Freddy known?

Tomika: ever since I found out I had it.

Summer: so you and Freddy have been keeping secrets from the band?

Freddy: yeah, we're sorry guys.

Tomika: (whispering) Fre, should we tell them about the other thing?

Freddy: (whispering) I think we should T

Summer: wait, why did you tell Freddy?

Tomika: that's the thing. Guys don't freak out, but me and Freddy are twins.

All but Freddy and Tomika: WHAT?

Freddy: it's true, my last name is really Young not Jones.

Summer: I can't believe you lied to us.

Tomika: we're sorry guys.

as Summer, Zack, Lawrence and Mr Finn leave the hospital there is one thing on my mind, I have just lost my best friends. I then start to tear up and Freddy notices and he pulls me onto a hug. Once I had calmed down me and Freddy then left the hospital and went back home
