Hotchniss One-Shots

Oh Father.

A/N: This is part two to Piece by Piece. Also, the picture above are Emily's father and step-mother.

Emily had agreed to to see her father the next day when he called back. Though she wasn't exactly going to be happy about it. They had agreed to meet three days later, meaning that Saturday. She had made sure that they were off of work since she wanted Aaron to go with her. 

They agreed to me at his house, since she really didn't want to meet him somewhere in public or at her house.

Saturday had came quicker than she had wanted it to. There was forty-five minutes before they had agreed to meet. They were all dressed and ready. She and Aaron were bringing both of their children. Jack was going because he didn't want to go to a friend's house or his aunt's for a couple of hours.

Soon enough they were all at her father's door. It actually took some convincing from her husband when they got there for her to go in. She had Serena in her arms while Jack was standing in front of Aaron. She lightly knocked on the door and waited for the door to open.

A women with light brown hair had opened the door soon after she had knocked. The women smiled as she said," Hi, you must be Emily, Matthew's daughter. I'm his wife Lori."

Emily smiled at her before she entered the house when Lori had stepped aside. She had walked in first with Aaron and Jack right behind her. Matthew saw his daughter and said," There are toys out in the backyard if they wanted to go play."

Emily didn't say anything to him before she turned to Jack. She said," Hey buddy, will you go out back with your sister and go play?"

Jack nodded and smiled," Okay, Mama."

She set her daughter down and watched her walk over to her older brother's waiting arms. She smiled when Jack picked her up and walked out back with her. Aaron sensed that she wanted to be alone with her father so they could talk. He kissed her lips and felt her kiss back before he followed his children outside. Lori sensed it as well and followed them. 

Emily looked back towards her father and sat down on the couch that was across from him. She said," Hello."

Matthew said," Hey."

He paused, " You've grown up some since the last time that I saw you, you look good. You're children are beautiful. They are well mannered as well, you've done a good job."

She said," I didn't give birth to Jack, he's Aaron's from his first marriage and I adopted him when I married Aaron, but thank you."

She watched him nod before she said," You lived thirty minutes away from me and you never called before now?"

He said, " I know and I'm sorry about that."

She sighed, not really knowing what to say. She was surprised that her father thought saying sorry would make up for everything and make her forgive him. But in her stubborn nature, that wasn't going to happen.

He watched her face as she thought about something. He really didn't know what she was thinking. He said," You have two twin half brothers, Nicholas and Nathan. They are almost twenty now."

She said," Why didn't you ever bother to tell me that any of the other times that we have seen each other.  I mean, I'm your oldest child and only daughter. I would have like to known my brothers, maybe I could actually be close to them."

He replied," I'm sorry."

She said," Stop saying you're sorry! It isn't going to change anything."

He didn't say anything, he knew at this point that she needed to yell and vent. He knew that this was the only way that they could rebuild the relationship that they once had.

She sighed, " You wanted to see me, yet you hardly know anything about me. The last time you actually saw me was five years ago. And before that it was nine years on the day after my twenty-first birthday. Before that I was sixteen and you almost didn't see me then."

He said," I know."

She let out annoyed sigh before she yelled," No! You don't know! Most daughters have their fathers walk them down on their wedding days. Mine didn't even bother showing up. Most fathers are over joyed when they learn that they are going to be grandfathers. Mine only found out when they talked to their ex-wife. I expected that you would want to see me then but I guess I expected to much of you. You're only biological grandchild is almost two. "

She paused," You barely even say me when I was sixteen. You had to get back home, which I now know was to your wife and twin sons. We only saw each other for a few hours. You didn't know that I got pregnant at fifteen and didn't keep the child. You almost had two biological grandchild but didn't want the at fifteen to grow up without a father like I did." 

He said," You could have told me, I would have helped you if you wanted to talk about it."

She was far past annoyed at this point and she was mad. She yelled," You weren't there. You know what,"

She paused to switch languages since her children could probably hear her. " Vete a la mierda! Deberías haberte quedado lejos cuando te fuiste hace veintinueve años." 

He didn't say anything before she continued," I'm done with this! I'm pregnant again so you might as well get your card ready now since I probably won't see you again before this child comes.Call me again in three years when it's convenient for you."

She grabbed her bag from the couch next to her before she stood up walked to the backyard. She picked up her daughter when she had ran over to her and hugged her legs. Jack had come hugged her as well. She had tears running down her cheeks at this point. She turned her attention to Lori. She said," I don't hate you, you haven't done anything wrong by me. Sorry this didn't go any better than it did."

She watched her nod and give her a small smile. She turned her attention to Aaron, he didn't say anything as he wiped her tears and pulled her into a hug. They walked out the back gate, so they didn't have to walk by her father again.

Aaron was relaxing with his wife in bed. Both Jack and Serena were down for the night. He looked at her and kissed her lips. Once they pulled away he said," Is it true, about what you were yelling to your father about before you came outside earlier. Are you really pregnant again?"

She smiled and laughed slightly," You heard that?"

He joked," I'm pretty sure the entire neighborhood heard it. I'm kidding, but yes."

She smiled," Yeah, I'm pregnant. I wanted to surprise you. I'm about twelve weeks along, I didn't find out that long ago."

He kissed her again, so she would know that he was just as happy as she was about their child was currently growing inside her.

She cuddled into him and soon after sleep took over them both.

A/N: Vete a la mierda! Deberías haberte quedado lejos cuando te fuiste hace veintinueve años in Spanish loosely translates to,  Fuck you! You should have stayed away when you left twenty-nine years ago.
