"I...don't know" I said not making eye contact with her.
"You don't know if you're okay?"
"I-I um" I started to say before I felt the heat behind my eyes.
I got up and grabbed Amanda by the upper arm and dragged her to the bunks.
I shut the door and she just stood there like what the hell.
"Okay, are you going to tell me what the hell's going on" she asked.
"I have to tell you something. But I don't know if I can" I said running my hands through my hair.
"Okay... just relax" she said and stood in front me to stop me from pacing.
"What. Is. going on" she said slowly.
"Something bad is going on. And-and-and I don't know what to do-"
"What do you mean something bad" she said.
"I came home last night-" I started but I just couldn't tell her.
I knew she was going to tell Liv or Cragen and next thing you know I have a police car watching my apartment. Which I don't want.
I sighed.
"Y'know what, never mind. I'm just overreacting" I said shaking my head.
"Woah, okay hang on. What happened last night" she said grabbing my arm before I could leave.
"Nothing, I-I know I'm just overreacting" I lied to her.
She knew it though.
"... okay" she said.
I walked out.

3 weeks later
These past 3 weeks have been horrible. Weird stuff keeps happening. Derek.... he didn't come home, there were complications and they had to keep him longer. For another month and a half, is what they said.
But, James keeps calling me, he's sending stuff to my apartment, trashing it sometimes. He sent me a letters and stuff.
I didn't let it get to me though. I knew he was bluffing.
But today, he sent a letter to me precinct. He knows where I live, where I work, my phone number. He knows everything.
The letter was left on my desk. It had my name on it, and I instantly knew it was his handwriting.
I ripped it up and threw it out.
I wanted no part of him.
He could rot in hell for all I care.
"How do you know that letter was important?" Fin joked.
"Cause I know who wrote it, and trust me, nothing they say is important" I said.
"Well okay" he said and kept doing his work. I was stressed out more today than ever.
Cragen has Huang talking to me almost everyday, about James, and it's driving me crazy.
I put my head on my desk and let out a sigh.
"What? Rough morning?" Nick joked.
"Yeah" I said not lifting my head.
"Well, they only get worse from here" he chuckled.

When it was time for my break, I decided to go into the bunks and sleep.
Once I fell asleep, it was peaceful, until I had a dream about James, or more like a memory. When I was 17.
"Come here lex!" He yelled.
He grabbed my arm.
"C'mon, your big bro is leaving. Show him some love" he said smiling.
"Get off me" I said pushing him.
"Hey, don't do that" he seethed.
I did it again.
He slapped me, and I fell to the ground.
He pulled me by my hair to my room.
He shut the door, then kicked me.
"Don't you ever lay a hand on me!" He yelled.
"Just leave already!" I screamed at him.
He kicked and punched each punch/kick hurt more than the last.
He picked me up by my hair and threw me on my bed.
He climbed on top of me.
"Stop! Get off of me!" I yelled trying to get him off.
He just punched me in my face, my nose bleeding, it hurt so bad. I later learned he broke it.
He tore my clothes off.
"Your bro always got to show you how to be a woman" he chuckled.
I was crying, trying to get him off of me.
"Please, stop please!" I cried as blood was coming out of my nose.
I felt so much pain, down there. But he kept going.
I just laid there crying. I didn't care anymore.
He got so aggressive at one point.
"Please, James please stop... you're hurting me" I cried more.
"That's what it feels like to be a woman" he whispered in my ear.
I woke up in a cold sweat. I was breathing heavily and I laid back down calming myself.
I took deep breathes and just laid there, thinking about that memory.
He was my brother and he hurt me in a way no brother or anyone should have.
I hated him for that. So much.

That night
I was coming home from work, when I walked into my apartment and put my stuff down. Something didn't feel right.
I pulled my gun out and started walking around. When I turned the corner, something hit me in the back of the head. I fell and everything was black. I was out.
