"Jace?" Clary called out into the silence of the institute.
Nothing. Silence as cold as death.
"Jace please." Clary begged as she jogged along. "This isn't funny"
The air shimmered in front of her. She scrambled back, a scream ripping from her.
"Hello sister dear." Sebastian said through the misty screen in front of her.
Clary whimpered. "Where's Jace?"
Sebastian stepped out of the way, revealing a bloody and half unconscious Jace tied to a chair.
Clary half screamed. "What did you do to him!?"
"Nothing. Yet." Sebastian chuckled.
"Run. Tell your little friends that there is a battle rising. Bring them and meet me at Charleston manor. Or you can say goodbye to lover boy."
Jace raised his head painfully. "Clary don't! He has- " He was cut off by a bout of coughing, blood bubbling around his mouth.
"JACE!" Clary threw herself towards the screen. The mist dispersed, leaving clary crying alone in the cold hallway.
